The week after Memorial Day and the restrooms in our loop, loop H, were closed due to staffing issues. Had to walk quite a distance in the dark to the nearest bathroom. We had 3 contacts with the ranger during our stay, and he was rude every time. Nice campground, but poorly run.

very quite, peaceful and overall relaxing spot to camp. cant walk straight into river, little step down but still very pretty site !!

the campground is very nice. campsite on the river A+. clean bathrooms, with dish washing station. unfortunately RVs running generators ruin the experience of hearing the river and birds. wish they would ban use of generators.

Great campground. Amazing mountain laurel. Too early for the fireflies but great trip. No showers and no dogs on trails are my only negatives.

Great experience, site H3 by the river, with beautiful tall trees all around, amazing fall colors. Bathrooms cold but clean, no showers, but nothing better than the river on the mountain to clean up! Dogs loved it, too.

Fantastic campground! Weather was amazing and falling asleep to the sound of the river was spectacular! We did the Charlies Bunion hike on the AT and the colors were beautiful :) Will definitely be back!

This is a very large campground with many smaller loops. campsites are fairly close together, not much privacy. The best sites are those that are along the river. The restrooms are clean and well maintained. the rangers and campground hosts were friendly and informative. I really enjoyed camping here.

My favorite Smokies Campground. This Campground needs a dump station. Sugarland dump station is the opposite direction that I travel.

Roving uptight Grinches on golf carts make the experience less than good. The most over regulated campground at which I have stayed. Campsite is very uneven and it was hard to level my camper.

Elkmont was absolutely wonderful. This was our first trip to the GSM National Park and we had a blast. We had a spot along the river and it was so incredible. The campground is well spaced out with great bathrooms and the people were great.
