The campsites are very pretty and well equipped with picnic table and fire pit. During the night we appreciated the smart lights in the restrooms. Be sure to visit historic Daisy Town at the far side of the campground!

Been coming to Elkmont for years and it does not disappoint. What was disappointing was the sheer number of other campers who brought their entire homes with them to camp. To camp is to get away from the push and pulls of life, not bring a big-ass generator, TV, bug zapper, golf cart, etc. with you.
Also, the new concessioner is outrageous. Five bucks for a bag of ice and $10 for 4 sticks of firewood. Get your ice before coming into the park and pick up the kiln-dried firewood at Lowes or Tractor Supply and save yourself some money. Hopefully in time, the concessioner will either change from his usurious pricing or retire back to Cades Cove.

Campsite was great! Perfect location for a base camp. Our only issue was an overly aggressive camp host we were just checking in and his attitude was terrible. There was no hello or welcome, felt like I was back in basic training getting talked down to for no reason. I talked with over others staying there and everyone seems to have had an issue with this individual. He should not be a camp host. He completely got our experience in this beautiful place off on the wrong foot.

Beautiful spot on the river. Only negative was the restrooms were closed for sewer work.

Be sure to bring firewood-none for sale. Awesome campground! Also note bathrooms under renovation/ porta potties are well maintained

The G3 site is very nice. It is not as close to the water as the map looks plus the site besides is pretty close.

Nice park. Quiet. Nice trails. We were able to get one of the many riverside sites for our travel trailer. One thing for others to know. Our reservation mentioned in fine print that the site we selected was in an area where we might here the waste treatment plant. Luckily we were able to switch to a different site when we got there because I did find the noise annoying.

Bathrooms were not clean - light over the sink near H-G area was out and at night we could not see anything! Noise ordinance on generator was not enforced - a non-inverter generator near us was loud during the day and made hanging out outside very unpleasant. We had bad weather and could not be informed due to no connectivity to internet or phone service AT ALL! I get not having phone signal in the park, but wish at least we had a way to purchase internet access or access at the ranger station on limited basis. No pay phone! Removed! Little notice on evacuation due to inclement weather, with No clear information on how to know the latest - we had to keep searching for updates at the visitor center. No-shows are terribly managed - if someone does not show up or call to reschedule, spot dont come open until 2 days later? This takes the opportunity of other visitors to camp - no-shows overnight should be cancelled next morning period, specially on a high-regarded park like Elkmont. On the good side, sites were clean and manicured, roads clear, we enjoyed walking around the park - it is beautiful.

Our camp sites were excellent, right on the river bend. The park was charming and clean!
