Campsite was good. Plenty of shade. Stayed in F section and only one bathroom facility was open. Long walk to get to the bathroom

We've been traveling to Elkmont for 45 plus years. The site we chose was close to restroom and was a great choice for us. Grounds were clean and generator users adhered to the rules. Very nice place.

Site f07 was good, right by the bathroom, only problem was bathroom was no functional. Many campers with bright flashlights trampling through our campsite all hours.

Much to my surprise, the port-a-potty’s were not as bad as I thought. They were always clean and the hand cleaning stations next to each unit was very convenient. It will be nice when the bathrooms are back up and running but this wasn’t an awful inconvenience.

Campground was nice and quiet - Sites were spacious.

We learned upon arrival that the bathrooms didn’t work. There were only two porta potty’s for our loop. They were dirty when we arrived and weren’t cleaned the entire time we were there. It was absolutely disgusting

We had unfortunate timing and came too early and thus missed the Summer fireflies. The Sewer system was under construction, and had to use porta potties over our 4 day stay, they were either replaced or flushed twice while we were there, very clean, and were stocked the entire time we were there. I hope I will be able to get a site next year in the first week of June to see them, or if I win the lottery just drive down to see them and stay at a nearby campground (Cosby, Cades cove, or Smokemont). The viewing area for the fireflies is across a bridge which crosses the river closest to site F09. after crossing the bridge the road is a loop and they can be seen on the hillside and near the creek along this loop.

My first time staying at Elkmont. I’ve always stayed in Cades Cove since the early 90s. What a hidden gem. Our space was good sized. The hosts were all friendly. The campground was beautiful and well taken care of. I highly recommend this campground. A wonderful Smoky Mountain experience.
