Nice hiking trails are here for you to enjoy. The trail by the Little River is one of my favorites.

There is a bathroom very close to this site, but its closed. So you have to walk a ways to the next bathroom.The site is a great location. However, we had a huge storm come through while we stayed. The tent pad was like a pool. Our stuff flooded and we ended up heading back home.There is a lot of poison ivy around the site.Being right next to the water was lovely.

Elkmont is an amazing campground , but over the years its luster has faded. From lack of mowing to restrooms being closed, the value is quickly diminishing. And traffic on the little river road is sometimes so bad reaching Gatlinburg is impossible.

Recreation.gov App is the best online reservation system in the business. Elkmont Campground is in a beautiful location. However, the facility needs some serious repaving. Also, some premium sites with water and electric connections should be added.

Didnt go because they implemented a fire ban the day before my trip. I totally understand the reason for the ban, but I shouldnt have to fight for a refund. Especially, with the temps getting down to freezing at night.

Excellent campsite I picked and I think staff is trying hard but overloaded. I stayed at site F5 and in the local bathroom only one of the sinks ever had water. One commode was continuously stopped up and the floor was extremely dirty always. A ceiling fan was added during my stay which should help. Fix this bathrooms & allow park internet service and I'd rate Elkmont 5 stars instead of 3.

We once again enjoyed ourselves at this very beautiful campground. Our site was excellent with it's great river access and close proximity to the fireflies, which were fantastic this year. I enjoyed walking through the restored homes in Daisy Town and just generally enjoyed walking around the area of the campground and the surrounding trails. I even got to ride a bike around Caves Cove this year which was a cool experience. All of the rangers and campground workers were great. I would like to give a special shout-out to Francine at the camp store, who was very helpful and great to speak with. Overall, this is an awesome place to camp. I just wish I lived closer, so I could visit more often.

We are an older couple and reserved a spot near a rest room. The rest room was not open, and had to use one a considerale distance ( at night ) away from our site. Not Happy!

What a beautiful campground, peaceful and full of great folks..volunteers and rangers. Great hiking trails nearby and the Little River flowing right through the area. One of my favorite camping experiences to date!

What can I say, I was lucky enough to snag F-5, one of the nicest spots. I slept in my hammock for 10 hours straight next to the rushing stream! Just a gorgeous place to be. This Florida girl hiked 15 plus miles from Clingmans Dome back to Elkmont in one day!

Excellent site along the Little River at Elkmont Campground! Port-a-Potties kept clean with nice hand washing stations, but wish the new Waste Water Plant had been built in the Off Season😟

Was lucky enough to get a site by the stream. Very clean water and is very relaxing to listen to. The campground is very nice. It’s a good central campground. Close to all the towns and many of the hikes. Next time I will stay at Cades Cove so I can bike the loop. I heard that is where you see a lot of wildlife. I docked a star because the shop was closed so no firewood and the bathrooms were closed, only portapottys available. Dump station is 6 miles away by the visitor center.

Nice location, but I wish they had shower facilities and a better camp store. Otherwise the place was decent, just not as good as other national park campgrounds Ive used in the past. I wont return.
