Elkmont CG is great due to its central location. Large tent pads. Has a camp store. Bathrooms were exceptionally clean and I saw them being serviced each morning.

Elkmont is a great campground. We were there early season, so only the first loops were open. The B loop along the creek was quiet and really enjoyable. Local staff were great. In general, a top destination campground, and we'll be back again!

Easy and convenient check-in. Lovely campsites. Bathrooms are conveniently located and clean. We enjoyed hiking some of the nearby trails, including a visit to Daisy Town to tour the renovated cabins and learn more about the history of the area from a very knowledgeable park ranger. Camp store is very limited in items offered, other than if you need extra ice or firewood, so try to pack prepared with everything you'll need. Happy Camping! 🌲⛺🌳

Was clean, sites were partially secluded, security, patrolled by Rangers. Restrooms with flushing toilets and easy access.

Plenty of room to walk the dog, respectful, fellow campers and easy access to hikes and photography in the park.

The check in process was smooth and park personnel were very helpful. Really appreciate the tent sites’ raised pads. Beautiful spot!

Elkmont is amazing every year and I usually give it 5 stars. This year I only gave it 4 because we had a few issues. The grass was very high and not cared for like it usually is. Also, site F2 is not rentable and didn't have any sign on it until we asked about renting it for parking and were told we couldn't - and then the volunteers came back around and put a reserved marker on it. It was never used and it isn't even on the online map. The volunteers were not very nice and made the trip somewhat unenjoyable

We absolutely enjoyed being at Elkmont! Beautiful campground with a good amount of privacy between sites and awesome Staff !!!

I really loved our family trip to The Smokey Mountains National Park! The Elkmont Campground was beautiful and clean as can be. Check in/out was easy. I was so very impressed by the staff and volunteers working here - We can't wait to return! - HIGHLY recommend :)
