Campsites are well taken care of and clean, along with restrooms! I really enjoyed my stay, the campground was quiet and peaceful.

Very disappointed how loud it was past quiet hours and open fires during a burn ban were not enforced.

Been coming here since i was 4 years old. I only wish the sites were first come first serve since there were plenty of river sites unused.

Clean restrooms, no ice cream at concession as expected.Timely trash pick up, firewood was so impregnated with chemical very difficult to start and did not last long, for ten dollars. However, Left back pack by mistake, Ranger called and mailed it quickly to me which had the last of my meds intact. Saved me a huge hassle and did not charge me for shipping. Also, Both male and female rangers were very helpful answering various questions that came up during the week.

Really enjoyed my stay at Elkmont. Camped in the B loop near, but not on the stream. Clean facilities, very convenient "honor" store for ice and firewood. So nice to be close to so many hiking trails and fishing opportunities. The only thing missing are showers and cell service, but I can certainly do without the latter. (Although it's only a short 5 or so minute drive outside of the campground).

Beautiful, but, wow, soooo many people. Spectacular trails and views, but not the best choice for peace and serenity.

One of the most peaceful places we’ve ever camped.

Nice campground with great trails. I enjoyed the Little River trail, Cucumber Gap Trail to Jack's Creek loop hike.

Spring 2021 was the year to "rehabilitate the sewer system" which lead to no working toilets in the campground and only a few hours of use of the bathroom sinks per day. We were not informed of this prior to our trip to the Smokies so that was quite a disappointment upon arrival. The rehabilitation of the sewer system will take several months so you might want to check before you go this summer.
After a few days, we adjusted (especially when the port-a-potties were finally emptied on Monday) and the weather was fabulous. We enjoyed the hike from Clingman's Dome down to the Elkmont Campground (14 miles) and Daisy Town and Millionaires Row. We usually camp in Cades Cove so we took a trip there and enjoyed the hike by the Smoky Mountain Institute @ Tremont. It is a beautiful waterfall and a short hike (about 1 mile).
