Great site on the river. Quiet and peaceful. I would stay in this site again. (I suggest pitching your tent as close to your picnic table side as possible as the fire pit for the neighboring campsite is rather close bysometimes smoky). This site is far enough from the road that I was not aware of incoming campers vehicles or people walking by.

Great location. The parking permit situation was opaque. I finally understood what was being attempted, but it was poorly explained and the ultimate goal was not well explained. If you spent as much money on increasing parking, or changing the layout form parallel to heads in parking, as you did to prevent people from parking, it would help you reach your goal.Charging extra money is more akin to a shakedown than progress given the explanations available.

B10 site was an extremely unexpected delight! Sits right on the river with cascades filling the air with the sound of rushing water to lull anyone into the peacefulness that is the Great Smoky Mountains. The tent pad was perfectly level. The side of the picnic table location could prove difficult for some as it slopes toward the water and roots from giant trees reach toward the table. Absolutely would love to reserve this same site for all my excursions to the mountains. Unfortunately for me, it is a very popular str with limited availability. I will be diligently checking for an opportunity!

Park staff were helpful n friendly. It’s a beautiful campground great hiking. River runs right through it for fishing. Campsites were far enough space for privacy. I stayed in a lot of national parks and I would rate Elkmont in the top three nationwide. I tent camped and the grounds were well-maintained and clean. Normally I would back country camp in the Smokies but this time some friends and I decided to do something different and I’m glad we did. Remember to bring your own wood and make sure it’s treated. It was just a really fun time

My favorite Front country campground in the Smoky's. Beautiful. Easy to get to. Less crowded than others. The restrooms being closed and having port-a-pottys was the only reason for the 4 out of 5 rating rather than the 5 out of 5.

A beautiful campground. Even though it was almost full we did not feel crowded. The only negative was that the bathrooms were closed and the only option were porta potties. This was most likely seasonal, we were there in the fall. I must say in the 4 days that we were there they were the cleanest porta potties I've ever seen. The fly fishing is great right in the campground and the historic structures and hiking trails are hard to beat. The campground is reportedly "generator free" but we did hear one or two late into the evening. Be sure to bring your own "treated firewood" they have it available at the camp store but it is twice as expensive as available outside the park, the same goes for ice.

My campsite on the Little River was beautiful but the restroom was not open. We had to use portable johns the entire time camping. No showers were available in nearby campgrounds for us to use. No sinks to wash hands or brush teeth. It was primitive camping which I was not expecting.

A beautiful campground and a great campsite with amazing options for hiking directly from the campground and short drives away.
