Best site ever! I come back annually and enjoy every moment I get to spend at the campsite. Perfect accessibility to river and a pair of trees beside it that beg for a hammock. All the staff you encounter love their jobs and it shines through in the sincerely friendly way every interaction is handled.

Its a great family camp ground! Everybody is respectful and the facilities are clean! The camp store has basically anything you might forget!

Grass needed mowed and there were so many cobwebs in the bathroom. On our site there was some trash left on the ground by the previous campers. Other than that it was amazing!

Elkmont is a wonderful place that we return to annually to camp. We love the sites on the river in this peaceful setting. Such a great place to disconnect and be able to be in a natural place near great trails and sites.

Very nice campground and the sites on the river are awesome. It does need better upkeep though. The sites didn’t look to have been mowed in months. The grass was knee high around the tent pad which made the bugs worse. The bathrooms needed some attention as well. Lots of late check-ins with some people arriving around 1am. Overall great experience though.

This was a lovely campground! It has a nice camp store onsite, and many sites have trees or rocks separating them. It is a big campground, but noise doesn’t carry. I was in B06 right next to the river and it was gorgeous! It’s also a great location within the park to go to Cades Cove, hike Laurel Falls, drive the Roaring Fork Motor Nature Trail, and enjoy the Newfound Gap Rd. There’s also hiking trails and historic buildings in Elkmont to explore. I plan to stay there again when I return to the Smokies!

Absolutely loved this area. Was close enough to Gatlinburg to meet up with family for activities while also being completely secluded in nature. I will 100% be returning.

Perfect location, perfect hiking opportunities, perfect memories to be made!! I will definitely be coming back for more for sure!! There are many beautiful hiking trails and off trail (safe also) explorations right inside the camp ground.

Elkmont campground is a beautiful place to unwind and unplug. Ive stayed next to the river on 3 different occasions and all have been beautiful. I camp during firefly event and the walk after dark is so very worth it.

Check in was easy, bathrooms very clean and heated for the chilly mornings. Our campsite by the stream was lovely. Our neighbors were close but due to the babbling of the stream, we couldn't hear them. Lots of trails right from the campground, and many others within a short drive. Great jumping point to explore what the Smoky Mountains have to offer!

Elkmont is an excellent campground. But there's little privacy with few barriers between sites, as is the case in most parks these days. The Rangers are professional and courteous, even in these times of over-crowded parks. The conditions of the permanent facilities--bath-houses, toilets, etc...--is bad. Most are closed. This seems to be the result of Covid shutdowns and funding cuts, together. Few state parks are in such sad condition.

I had tent campsites right on the Little river, i invited my daughter and son-in-law to camp with us for the weekend, The weather was clear, not a lot of crowds and an overall great weekend at our favorite campground. It was almost perfect, the problem was there was no wood for sale. The camp store had not opened, it would have been nice if we were alerted before we got there. The camp rangers just said it was closed and we would have to go outside the park to buy wood. We ended up foresting for some. The next day at Cades cove we bought some for $10.00 a bag, a bit steep for a few logs.

Had N-1 because it was all that was available. B-6 became available afterwards. So then moved there for 2 nights. As always, great experience. Good location between Cades Cove & Newfound Gap.

B6 site is a site that is so close to the water that all you hear is water running always. Only negative is it doesnt have much shade.

Great site that is so close to the river that you don't hear anybody in other sites. Also close to camping store and restroom that is not as used as others.

I camped in the B area where it is tent camping only. What a perfect little area for a quiet camping trip, right on the banks of the Little River. I appreciated how the B campsites were thoughtfully located away from the RV area and entrance Rd. I generally go back-country camping to avoid the glamper/RV crowd. Elkmont is one of the very few Nat Park campgrounds anywhere that I would come back to. I moved to TN from CO and Elkmont would hold it's own against 90% or more of the Nat Park campgrounds there.
