This campground is really beautiful. Large level sites, the place is large and have special section for generator use. I was there with a group in november2024, the place was almost full and i could barely hear any generator noise which was nice. Suggest you buy firewood (per policy) outside the park because at the campground it is crazy expensive, this is my only complaint! The staff were all very kind and knowledgable, restrooms were clean.

Beautiful place. The lack of electric and water hook ups as well as the lack of bathhouse was very uncomfortable

Our visit to Elkmont Campground this year was wonderful, as usual. We love the place and all if offers. It's one of our favorite campgrounds in the region. The rangers and staff were helpful and accommodating.

Staffing was excellent so far as check-in. The maintenance is something go be ashamed of. Men's bathroom was updated with a hand dryer... that didn't work. Sanitation was poor. One faucet is still non functioning. I'm not convinced a wet mop has ever touched the floors. Spider webs and/or cobwebs are abundant.

I stayed in a generator free area and it was very quiet. The restrooms were clean, the staff was helpful. There is a nice camp store with firewood, ice, and goodies. It is easy to walk to trailheads for two trails, avoiding the need to drive to the trails and try to find a parking place.

Make sure you get firewood from the container at the concession shop the firewood that is outside under the awning tends to be wet and incredibly difficult to burn.

As always, my favorite campground. Your wood needs to upgrade his firewood to something that is not pine. Worst stuff ever.

Loved everything about the campground, except for the prolific poison ivy. I know it's a native plant to the area, but it was growing up and around the tent pad...which is clearly not natural or native to the area. I had two young kids including a 1-year-old, which meant it wasn't the most relaxing experience trying to keep them away from the ivy. They must've ended up touching the ivy at some point and now have a rash. I get not disturbing plants that are off the paths, but it's really hard to relax and enjoy the space when it's growing right around where you have to pitch your tent.

Very nice campground with clean bathrooms. Nice to have sink washing stations. Central to traveling around the park. First campsite was nice, plenty of space with table and fire ring. Had to move because we extended our stay - second site was more crowded, fire ring and picnic table very close to road with incoming traffic. Almost impossible to back our 21 ft trailer into the site due to parked cars belonging to tent campers. Will definitely be more selective of the site next time we stay!

How long is this bathroom update going to take?!? This is going on two years now.
@ChrisH996 · Camped on Oct 17, 2021 at Campsite #A22
The campground was nice but the bathrooms were all closed. Instead there were plastic port-a-toilets. That was a little disappointing.
