No cell service at all, but great clean sites and restrooms. Nice little trails nearby, and really close to Sugarlands Visitor Center.

Elkmont is a very historical area. Camping close by gives early access to the trails.

Water to bathroom faucets were shut off due to failure. One of them has been broken for two years. The groundskeeping seem to be a struggle. Another said one of the bathrooms was completely closed down. Not a good impression for first time visitors.

We had an amazing experience at Elkmont. Everything from reservations, places to go (campsites, waterfalls, etc), directions, trail/region maps, what to bring, caution in case of bears, open/close campsites and so on were online and mobile friendly. Definitely Elkmont is not only a great place if you are looking for a frontcountry campsite but also is a great starting point if you are into backcountry trekking. Cucumber trail was amazing and if you are into trekking head to the Appalachian trail, awesome spots for camping on the way.

We were not informed of the restrooms being closed before arrival. It wasn’t trouble for us, just inconvenient for washing up at night. I’d highly recommend hiking the Jakes creek trail

I didn’t give our experience a 5 as all of the bathroom facilities were closed. No explanation was given as to why. Otherwise I could have given a higher rating

Beautiful campground! Quiet, clean and well designed. This particular camping area has so much to offer—hiking trails, fishing, fascinating old structures, lots of cultural history. I could go on and on. Love this place!

Just wish the bath shower houses were open.
