Campground is beautiful, shaded, and well maintained. There are many hikes nearby. Definitely would go again!

Loved our time at cosby. Had 3 kids under 9 camping. They loved playing at the stream at the end of the nature trail and start of the trail to the overlook. Hike to hen wallow falls was challenging but we made it. Drove 25 min to the midnight hole hike and swimming hole for lots of fun!

I have stayed at the Cosby Campground a number of times. It is a great location, with multiple trailheads connecting to a number of trails. The sounds of Cosby Creek waft through the campground. It has always been a quiet place.

We really liked this campground in which tent sites are essentially carved out of the hills, with the tent pad on one level and picnic table/fire ring typically on another. Many of the campsites are reached by steps going either up or down, although ours was more level. This design provides good privacy for campers and interesting sites. Because most sites are for tents, the campground was quiet. It never filled up. The restrooms were clean and were maintained one or more times daily. My husband and i enjoyed the numerous hiking trails that are accessed directly from the campground, including the truly beautiful Cosby Nature Trail. One day we drove through Gatlinburg to get to a trailhead off the Clingman's Dome parking lot. Afterward we felt very fortunate that we didn't have to deal with the hubbub of the town or the traffic and people in town and at major attractions in the park. Cosby Campground is quiet and near the northeast edge of the park. It's beautiful and just the way we like it!

This is a very crowded campground. The tent sites are either a few feet from the road or an adjoining site. If you are looking for privacy go somewhere else. I wish I would have known there was little privacy when booking.
