Cosby Campground is always nice since the majority of the Gatlinburg mobs go the other way. Though the tent pads are level, and some of the parking is too, the campground as a whole is set on the side of the mountain and many of the sites have a pronounced slope so be prepared to walk up and down steps or inclines to set up camp, prepare meals, and use the facilities.

This is by far the quietest campground I have stayed in. Perfect for tents and small campers such as square drops/tear drops. Bathrooms were clean and sites were well kept.

Great all around. The whole campground is beautiful with different trailheads all around. Stayed 3 nights without ever needing to jump in my car to avoid boredom. Bathrooms were among the cleanest I’ve seen at campgrounds, plus the windows attracted awesome moths. Sites are pretty far apart but B loop definitely seems better than A loop if you’re tent camping. As I’m sure all tent campers can agree, the further you can manage to get from the noisy RV sites the better. If you love creeks, this is the area to be!
