This place is so amazing we came back to stay a few more nights before we headed to our next destination. The wildlife here lots of turkeys and fireflies are amazing. The camp host was amazing. Its nestled away from crowds and seems well run.

Honestly this campground is a diamond in the rough its tucked away from all the crowds yet near just about everything. The campground host was super informative and knowledgeable about the area. They made us feel at home with their hospitality and generosity. We saw many wild turkeys during our stay as well as fireflys. If crowds arent your thing but still want to explore and enjoy what nature has to offer then this campground is for you. Will definitely stay here again!

I've camped at Cosby many times and overall it has been fantastic. I love the location, access to hiking without having to fight through Gatlinburg traffic, and the campground is beautiful and serene.I would generally give it 5 stars but the last time I stayed there, it seemed there was no ranger presence at all. None when I was checking in, never saw one. It wasn't a problem the first night but the 2nd night was a Friday night and the place got really loud and people were parking all kinds of crazy, having way too many people in a campsite and making a lot of noise way past the quiet hours. I barely slept at all because of the nonstop disturbances. It is too bad. I'll still be back but I hope that isn't a trend.

The campground itself is gorgeous! If you want to be away from things, it's a very quiet and peaceful area. It's much less crowded than Elkmont. However, if you want to be closer to Gatlinburg, then Cosby might not be the best choice. It's a good 30 minutes away. If you're looking to avoid crowds though, then Cosby would be perfect.
I would recommend not getting a spot too close to the bathrooms if you can help it. The doors slam shut (probably to keep insects out), and it can definitely wake you up early in the morning. Other than that though, my experience was great!

Georgeous campground, albeit a little noises over Memorial Day weekend. Wonderful hiking trails that were right out of the campground. We stayed here as part of a cross country road trip and this place was without a doubt the most magical place we stayed. On a more practical note, bathrooms were clean and drinking water was readily available.

Mobile Data Speed Map
#123
If there are speed tests submitted for a campground the campsite icons will be colored based on the average download speed and the border will be colored based on the average upload speed.
In this example Campsite #123 has very good download speeds and decent upload speeds. If a campsite has a solid yellow color it means there was no data speed detected in the test(s). Clicking on a campsite icon reveals more details.
