was here for 10 days in mid April. The campground is well maintained and very quiet. Not too many campers at this time of the year. Since the campground is on the north east side of the smokies, driving to many of the favorite hikes will be about an hour or so. There are around 4 hiking trails right from Cosby which was nice to do.

Cosby campground is a quiet campground that has beautiful hiking trails and a nice kid friendly trail that is along a beautiful creek. It is clean and the host is friendly.

Lovely quiet campground considering you are in the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. Be aware there are limitations if you are in a trailer or RV. There are not many sites for RVs and of those, we would be unable to level our 24 ft campervan, but those sites should work for trailers. Many lovely tent sites. Restrooms need attention more than once a day especially on the weekends.

Warning: Poison Ivy is abundant around and in the campground, but as you hike upwards on the trails, you can get away from it.
