Mostly open site with dense woods behind. Short walk to the river going one way and to the bathroom going the other way. About a quarter mile walk to the camp store where they sell ice and firewood.

I like to ride the Cades Cove loop and look for wild life and the bears were moving around good. I used to ride the loop on my bicycle but after so many birthdays I just drive.

We love Cades Cove, but this our first time in the campground. The campsites are a little close together and we couldn't have comfortably had a campfire without being in our neighbor's yard. It was helpful to have the generator loop, though - and most people did not run them much. All-in-all a great experience.

Cades Cove is a lovely campground with nicely spaced sites. Staff were friendly and helpful. It is a campers campground with flush toilets, but cold water, no soap in the bath house, no showers. Be prepared to hear generators. During our stay all generator users respected quiet hours.

Our visit was good in our camp spot. Nice. The reason I gave it a lower rating is because they are now charging a parking fee on top of the camping fee to go through Cades Cove. This is just another way to extract money from the visitors. I have the object to this practice.

The facilities were clean and well lit. The park is of course beautiful. I made reservations utilizing my America The Beautiful Senior Lifetime pass (This is my first national park trip utilizing this pass). My site was very close to the next site with numerous vacant sites, so I went to the office and inquired if I might be able to move. The computer system would not allow Melanie to change our site. Apparently the issue is related to booking a site using my Senior pass. This was a huge waste of my and my husband's time. Melanie couldn't have been kinder and tried to make my request work. She has exemplary customer service skills. It should not be this difficult to change a site because of booking with this pass. The software should be updated to allow such requests and take only minutes. I will never inquire again about changing my site. I suggest if another visitor asks to change sites and has used their Senior pass to purchase the site, explain that the computer system makes it difficult and not worth losing precious time enjoying the park.

I always enjoy my time in Cades Cove Campground. I like looking at wildlife and beautiful views. I do wish the sites had electrical hookups. I only visit campground twice a year when air condiitioning is not needed to be able to sleep cool. A wonderful place.

Very relaxing. Our first camping trip in our brand new camper! Nice seclusion from the ‘real world.’ Rangers make regular patrols and are available if needed. Everyone was very helpful. Loved our site. Convenient to the washrooms and water supply.

We always have a good time at Cades Cove, although this time it got a bit warm. We have camped at Cades Cove for years and the eleven round about will never change as people refuse to pull of while looking at animal. But the round about is not all about the animals as to us its more about God and what he has provided us as a people. One other thing: We would enjoy the convenience of electricity as we find at Indian Boundry. That way we could get rid of that offal noise in an area that could be so peaceful.

While being 100% full, everyone was wonderfully quiet, relaxed and having a nice time. The proximity to the camp store and the creek was a huge plus. The bathrooms were kept very clean.

Some camp sites are quite spacious giving a more private, personal experience. The best part is that the loop is closed to cars all day on Wednesday’s.

Someone was in our spot and refused to move. No one was in the office and no one answered the phone. So we left. Asked for a refund and was refused. The place doesn't even look that great or kept up. Don't arrive after dark because there aren't signs up to help you find your spot. Worst camping experience.

Taking a cruise around the loop to see the deer and bear is a must. Don't forget to stop at the campground store for an ice cream cone.

Great place to stay. We were tenting there just after Labor Day weekend, so the crowds had dropped off significantly :-)The sites were about the right distance apart: enough privacy to talk, but close enough that when we walked the roads, we could socialize if we wanted. Bathrooms were clean, plenty of places to get clean, potable water. It's not far from several interesting activities in the park, so it made a great base of operations.
