The campground was very pretty! We stayed in the generator loop since our solar wouldnt get much sun but the only problem i had was when it says 8pm is cutoff time they mean it! My family was sitting by the fire telling storys not watching the time and 8:11pm we already had someone pulling up telling us turn it off. We said we was sorry but then for the next almost hour listened to people talking super loud, kids screaming loud as they could and stuff :( it would have been nice if someone went and told them to stop It just rubbed us the wrong way..I couldnt believe how fast we was told to turn it off. Then others continued to be loud!

I am appalled at the conditions of the campsites and the law and order in the campground. All sites are overgrown and all the tent pads have poison ivy growing everywhere!I went to report this to the rangers when I found out there are no longer rangers because of budget cut backs and found out there salary is $32 K. That is rediculous! No one can live on that and this is a government job. So these national parks are being run by volunteers!! There is no law and order in the campground!Cars parked off the designated areas,! People being loud and obnoxious at 3:00 am with no range patrol!Absolutely terrible! We will not return! And I have been going there for 40 years

We had a good time except for hearing all the generators. We think camp sites should be split between guests with and without generators. Or do away with generators all together.

This is the place that, if possible, I would stay forever! Such beautiful mountains and landmarks. The work that they are doing to improve the roads and trails makes it that much more appealing. Between the bicycle riding, the hiking trails, the buildings, the wildlife, and the ice cream, there is something for everyone! ,We visit every year and we are never disappointed, except for when we pack up and head home.

I have camper in the Cove for years and always loved it. The people there are great to work with and will help you as much as they can. The wild life is great to watch but there does not seem to be as much as there use to be. So as far as the cove itself things are great the only problem I have had this year is with the web sight not being up to date on what sites are available because I just found out the first of Oct. that this year it was not first come first served as it has been for years. My family has spent thanksgiving week there for years so when I did I checked to see what was open and the web sight said nothing was open. Because I live only 4 hours away I drove up to see what was going on and talked to the people in the office there and to come to find out there were sites still open that we could use. So because of the find people there we were able to have our yearly trip. While I was there I talked to other people that was very displeased with the way the web is working out. If you can get that worked out it would be a great help. Thanks

We never went through it. Got all the way up to where the Luke begins and realized that is where the four hour car ride begins to go 11 miles. We thought it was back where the electronica billboard was at the park entrance telling you that it could be four hours. Personally I would never spend four hours in a car going 11 miles through a national park. We left smoky mountain national park and saw more beautiful scenery an hour outside of the park with no lines and no people. With Covid right now if the park is that busy I would consider making other plans.

Great campsite in Smoky Mountain National Park. Our site was close to the bathroom and had a tent pad which was very nice. Campsite was close to Abram Falls and the Cades Cave bike loop but approx 45 mins from most of the hikes we did- Mount LeConte and Chimney Tops. Great camping experience overall.

While the campground was extremely beautiful and the staff very helpful I would like to point out that generator turn off time is 9pm! Too me for folks on vacation and for a park that has no electrical hookup, this is too early! Generators now are extremely quiet compared to ones years ago and I think we need to extend this curfew to 11 pm. Also, we noticed that some of the larger vehicles used for towing had a very difficult time getting parked in designated parking spots at their campsites. Campers shouldnt have to leave their trucks at the welcome center. The parking spaces at the campsites need to be made bigger so people can have their vehicles nearby. What if there was an emergency! Its a pretty good walk back to the welcome center of an emergency happened and believe me u will have no cell phone service! I did love our friendly park staff volunteers and we loved driving through cades cove! We did it like 3 times in 2 days! If your vehicle breaks down u will have to use the ranger station phone to call out as your phone and google will not work! We had a good time but coming back at 9 and not having power to get ready for bed was a pain! No curfew should be 9pm! Vacationers are our to do just that! Hang out and stay up late to enjoy their time together! I prob would not go back just because there are other sites at the bottom of the mountain where cell service is available. It was tough having no cell service with a broke down truck!
