Access Roads to Sites are narrow. Site # 58 had a small drainage ditch that would not allow for 5 th Wheel to be positioned as it created a condition for damage from the Truck Bed Rails pushing into the bottom of Trailer above. Sites are close to each other with minimal separation.

Nice campground in a wonderful area. Lots of activities in the area. We had to be careful of exposure to poison ivy, it seemed to be every where.

It was a beautiful but busy October weekend for our camping trip. We were able to navigate the traffic. It took two hours to drive the loop road, but worth it. We saw a Momma Bear and her cub and another black bear in the drive The absolute best thing in planning and going on this trip was the staff at the ranger station. They were helpful, professional, and fun! Outstanding staff. The ladies were terrific.Worst part was navigating recreation gov website and lack of a working map at that site. I suggest some improvements for your site. Not sure you are worth what GSMNP pays you to take reservations.

Nice campstore , bike shop. Bathrooms could use some attention on soap dispensers and towels. Our camp site was decent and some are better than others so pick wisely. The cades cove loop is well worth the trip by car or bike there is beautiful scenery and plenty of Kodak moments when weather is good. We saw more bear than we ever expected and deer were plentiful. Highly recommend a couple day stop at least. The loop gate opens at sunrise and worth hitting the loop early.

We loved this campground! It was so close to Cades Cove so we got an early start on the loop and beat most of the heavy traffic. The camp store is great. It had lots of souvenirs and even an ice cream shop! Definitely recommend getting the Loop Scoop. Campers around us told us about bear sighting the night before but we didn't see any and had heard bear traps close, so rangers were taking care of the immediate bear issue. The only downside to this campground is that it is VERY busy and there is not much privacy as sites are close together.

We love that Wednesdays are closed to auto traffic so that we can bike without fear of all the traffic. This is our fourth stay this summer and hope to be able to make one more visit before winter. We have been very pleased with our campsites and the overall campground. Your staff has been very accommodating and friendly. Oh, and the ice cream at the general store is scrumptious, especially on a hot summer day

Wonderful campground - would stay here again. We were in site B53 and it was a little tight to get into due to trees and the site marker placement for our 30 foot trailer and there was not enough room for both the tow vehicle and camper without angling the truck. All that said, the site layout was good, plenty of room between us and the neighbors and if it was the only site left we would stay there again. The B loop does allow generators but it was rare to hear one. The camp store was well stocked, the rangers were friendly, helpful and informative. The dump station was GREAT. it had spots for 3 campers and had a spot to fill up your camper with fresh water and overall was clean and well maintained with plenty of room. The bear warnings are real and need to be followed to keep bears out of the campground. Loved this campground and would go back.

we had plenty of room between our trailer and the next one. We loved driving around the Cade Cove looking for bear, we saw so manybear, deer, turkeys and even a coyote. We were close to Townsend.

Sites were close together. No power or water. No showers or laundry. Amazing 11-mile scenic loop (which can be biked or driven) with birds, bears, and other animals (but traffic can get very congested if you are in your car). Lots of good hiking trails. Excellent camp store. Store only open 9-5 though. Great streams beside the campground (adjacent to picnic area) to sit by.

We had to move to different sites 3 times for an eight day stay. I understand we were somewhat late to reserve our sites. What i don't understand is 39 empty sites in the campground when i had to move the third time. There was no one in the office to talk to for several days Thanksgiving week. The Web site has become a problem instead of an aid. The site shows all sites are full during busy times of the year but the campground is often half full. Stiffer penalties should be enforced on no-shows to encourage responsible use of the site. People are using this website to reserve a spot in the case they might want to come preventing others from being able to come.

We have been camping in Cades Cove for 40+ years and it is one of our favorite places to visit! From simply letting the kids play in the creek in the campground or at Sparks Lane, to riding horses or hiking to Abrams Falls, every moment is enjoyable. Be sure to wake early, make coffee over the stove/fire and take in the quiet coolness every morning offers! Enjoy the animals at dusk and dawn.

It was a bit too crowded as it was July 4 weekend. One thing I would recommend is that NPS stripe a bike lane in the Cades Cove Loop. The whole loop was packed bumper to bumper with cars. I attempted to bike it and the bumper to bumper cars made it difficult. If you striped just a little lane on either the left or the right side it would serve as a visual cue to the car drivers that they need to hug the other side of the lane. There is enough room to accommodate both cars and bikes however you need to show the cars that bikes have a right to be there too. Please consider this simple adjustment to make the Cades Cove Loop more accessible for all.

Beautiful park!

Phenomial location, except some of the trailer spots are difficult to back into, most notably when there are others parked across. The use of boulders as decorations at key points also proves to make parking more difficult.
