When we arrived at our site at arrival time, the site was occupied. turned out that the group that had camped there the night before were having vehicle troubles & thier truck would not start. Being a new pickup it would not recognize the key so we could not even push it out of the way. The gentlemen in this truck were from Germany & were touring the USA. The truck was a rental & they had to wait for a tow truck from Alamo rent a car to come move the truck. Needless to say we could not get into the site. The Park Ranger put us in site A2 for the night and then told us to stay in that site for the duration of our stay. The site was clean & close to the store & not far from the restrooms. All facilities were well kept and this was a very busy week at the campground. As an avid bicyclist I had to ride the Cades Cove Loop. I rode this loop on Wednesday afternoon when there is a, no car restiction. However there was an extremely large amount of bikes. I rode the loop again on Saturday & Sunday mornings with vehicles & the ride was much more enjoyable. Very little traffic in the mornings with a start time of 7-8 am.

We are a local family whose parents were born in Cades Cove. We enjoy camping and it feels like going home. We live the primitive camping although we have a camper and generator. We are older now.??. We are sisters and just enjoy the time together. We pack a lunch and spend the day around the loop road. It never gets boring. Reservations are easily made. Staff is friendly. Bathrooms are always clean. Bear sightings were plentiful this year.

We were very satisfied with our campsite. The setting was peaceful and we were excited to see wildlife. My only complaint, though it is a pretty big one, is that at the campground store, the mask policy was not being enforced.

Our stay at Cades Cove was very nice. We visited in a 23ft campervan. Campground well cared for, very nice camp store, clean bathrooms, and enough staff to keep things running well.

Mobile Data Speed Map
#123
If there are speed tests submitted for a campground the campsite icons will be colored based on the average download speed and the border will be colored based on the average upload speed.
In this example Campsite #123 has very good download speeds and decent upload speeds. If a campsite has a solid yellow color it means there was no data speed detected in the test(s). Clicking on a campsite icon reveals more details.
