Love Cades Cove Campground.. only down side is many of the sites are far from level with steep inclines, making it nearly impossible to level your vehicle (especially if you are in a motor home). That was my experience on my visit in May/June. This comment and opinion was shared by several other campers as well..

Great time. Campgrounds were clean. Enjoyed the bike trails, and the walk to Abrams Waterfall. Lots of wild life to see. Already booked for another stay in October. Can't wait.

You can rent bicycles there, and the man that runs that shop is super nice and helpful. Also do not forget to get ice cream everyday at the Cades Cove store. Campground extremely quiet at night and facilities are kept clean. We heard coyotes several nights during the night. We have camped there every year for over 20 years

Relatively quiet campground in the middle of September. Sites were spacious and campground was well kept. Bathrooms were decently located and well maintained.

Was woken up at 2am by a camper arriving and setting up tent/site. Was woken up at 5am by said camper taking a phone call and walking up and down the road talking on phone. Was woken up at 7am by garbage trucks emptying trash receptacles throughout campground. Needless to say, we did not sleep.

Went there with friends for my 65 th birthday. I have been there many times before. Mainly to have access to the car free day to bike ride the loop road and tour the wonderfully preserved historic cabins and churches. The historic structure volunteers are excellent.
The campground's sites are pretty close together, some very close together. Section B allows generators to run all day and into the evening so this can get pretty noisy. Section C prohibits generators. There are flush toilets, picnic tables and fire pits. No showers. The campground store has firewood and ice. You can rent bikes. Be prepared for rain.
