We had a blast primitive camping! Everyone in the park were respectful of quiet hours and the volunteers were friendly!

Our favorite place to camp. Just wish they had showers.

Lots of RVs and noisy also due to sounds of lots of insects. Very touristy, but close to lots of possibilities to view bears and wildlife. Also close to Abrams trail.

This is a very excellent campground, and while I did select 4 stars it's just for the following reasons and these are things that I would like that would have improved the visit for us. Wi-Fi availability made available throughout the entire campground and if there was a bathhouse of with showers available.

We really enjoy staying so close to the Cades Cove loop. We rode bikes through the loop early in the morning and right before dark at night to avoid the traffic jams. We saw a lot of wild life. The campsite was level and clean. People were courteous and quiet hours were observed well. The only draw back was no hand soap in the bathrooms.

Cades Cove is a wonderful campground. There is no hook ups but generators are permitted in B-loop except at night. It is very busy there, the campground store is great but closes fairly early in the fall. The Cades Cive Loop is something we particularly enjoy and is the primary reason we stay at this campground. We will drive or bike theoop 2 to 3 times per day. I do wish they would cut the grass fields. I have been coming here for over 45 years and the animal viewing has diminished greatly in the last few years due to their "back to native initiatives " I am not a fan. Many fields are grown up and where you use to have opportunity to see 200 to 300 deer including big bucks has now diminished to 10 or so does with an occasional buck or a bear. Cut the grass! Go back to farming the cove as its founders did. That is what they promote, so make it like it was then...All in all its a wonderful place to stay.

We camped in site B-38 and it was a much smaller site than sites we've had before. Other than that, and the fact that it poured the rain the first night we were there, we had a great trip! The bathrooms were clean, we saw lots of wildlife, and had quality family time. We camp every year in October, and are already planning for next year.

Obviously crowded in the fall but still a lovely place to spend a night or two. Don't expect any privacy between sites. As tent campers I wish we had been able to get a site in C-Section where generators are prohibited.
