We intentionally chose a Wednesday when it was bikes only on the loop. Enjoyed the day very much. We stayed Tuesday and Wednesday nights, it was so quiet, we slept 10 hours straight. Absolutely the best camping trip we've ever had. No hook ups but the weather was nice. The gift shop and all the staff we encountered were knowledgeable and friendly.

Staff was extremely helpful and we had a very nice stay on a flat site with a decent fire ring and nearby rest rooms. All you can expect and more for the reasonable cost.

Site B34 was a convenient location to the bath house and dish sink, with a direct trail going down to the general store. Was quiet campground and campers respected the generator times. Saw a lovely buck grazing at the site across from us.

I love biking through the Cove, so camping there gives such easy access. It was perfect.

The urinals in the restrooms have years of yellow urine stains, and smell terrible.

Great place for us when we are off work. Silence is golden. No cell phones in everyone's hands. Deer and turkeys each day. Bears sometimes on outside edges of campgrounds. Bring your bikes, get a head start on renters and cars before 8am. Thanksgiving we bring a Honey Baked Ham and snack on it all week. Cooking on grill and learning to use a Dutch Oven. When you camp hear, the Cades Cove loop is just outside your door. Can go anytime by foot or your own bike. Early foggy mornings are something not everyone sees. Can hear turkeys and owls before Sunrise. Hope they make the closed to cars on Wednesdays year round.

This is a great park! The only negative is that seemingly half the country knows about it. Avoid weekends if you can. Great hiking. Lots of wildlife. Interesting historical sites.

The campgrounds are handy and the sites are reasonably spaced. The lack of electrical hookups combined with a number of no-generator loops makes it difficult to camp for more than a couple of days. It would help if generator operation were permitted everywhere during limited daylight hours. The bike-only options should be increased, perhaps with separate bike paths created at the most dangerous hill and pinch-point sections of the Loop. Biking should be encouraged rather than simply tolerated since it reduces overcrowding and the polluting effect of long periods of vehicle idling. Bike paths at least part way to historical sites and nature sites like Abrahms Falls would also make them more accessible.

We loved Cade's Cove! Our site was near the restroom and within walking distance to the gift shop. Highly recommend this campground!
