Cades Cove Campground is a truly beautiful and peaceful place to stay, surrounded by the stunning scenery of the Smokies. That said, it feels like the facilities are due for an updateespecially the restrooms, which could use more stalls, the addition of showers, and more frequent cleaning. It would also be wonderful to see some clean electric hookups offered, as they would be a much better alternative to the noisy, polluting generators many campers rely on. With a few improvements, this already special campground could be even better.

First, all of the park personnel were very friendly and helpful. The RV sites are tight and offer no privacy. Only one water and dump station??? We wont be back with our 5th wheel.

Clean campground. Staff are easy to work with, super friendly and always willing to help. Sites are spacious. Lots of shade. We enjoy riding the "Loop" which is very convenient from the campground. Go late in the day for a better chance if seeing wildlife. Last day we were there, we saw 15 bears. Cades Cove has lots of places to pull off the road to picnic or to let the kiddos burn off a little energy. Lots of history to enjoy and creeks for wading. Be sure to check the Smokies quarterly newspaper, which can be picked up at visitor centers through out the park, for a schedule of events and Ranger led activities.

It's a great campground and being by the Loop is awesome.
The generator section can be noisy if folks are not considerate.

Such a beautiful campground. The sites are near a campground store with GREAT ICE CREAM, and all the necessities. Beautiful trails nearby. It's at the base of the Cove loop, so scenic views, historic sites, and viewing wildlife is VERY close to each campsite. GREAT STAY!!

We enjoyed going around the loop, drove the first day kids got to see live bears , deer, turkeys, and more.... Wednesday we rented bikes and went around the loop. Kids loved it. Ages 1 to 12. Went to a strawberry farm in Cherokee the drive was awesome, it was raining that day mountain ride was amazing. The strawberries were the best we ever ate . Darnell's farm. They had a wonderful playground on the river , live music.
Relaxed in rocking chair watching the kids play.

We've stayed at Cades Cove Campground may times over the past 30 years---a place we and our children love. Often a group of 15 or 20 came! This was our first time back with our 4 grandchildren, and they too fell in love with it! We made the loop 4 times. It's our "happy place!"

They fined me $80 for leaving a cooler out for 2hrs that only had drinks in it, no food. Was not happy. I intentionally left my food inside at all times. Not a great experience.
