This is a beautiful area of America. Unfortunately the campground isnt. At least for me. The campsites are like hotel rooms without walls. They are that close together. No privacy. I want to enjoy nature when I camp and not whats happening around the next campfire.

Nice quiet campground, and a great site. Staff was very friendly! There was no clean-up sink, however, and so most campers did dishes in the toilet area.

Bears and deer were plentiful, hikes to waterfalls great, and having Cades Cove loop closed to vehicles on Wednesdays is a real joy to bikers and walkers!

We love this campground. The location in the code cave loop is gorgeous. We arrived very late and our spot was there waiting for us.

It was amazing to wake up and go straight to the loop. Whether walking it, biking it, or driving it, it was so convenient to access. We got a lot more of an experience out of our 4 day stay than in the past just driving in for the day. The spots had plenty of space. Nice place to view the stars at night!

My wife and I came to Cades Cove the first week of October in hopes of seeing the last of the fall colors. We were not disappointed. The colors were amazing and the park itself was the best it has been in years. The loop was recently repaved and the fields had been cleared for the first time in recent memory. A previous administration had badly neglected the park. We were actually able to observe turkeys, deer, and several bears all from one spot. We also drove over the Rich Mountain Road into Townsend. The fall colors were spectacular. Don’t miss it!

Rich mountain loop has very little views in summer

Cades Cove is an experience everyone should have at least one. There were rangers readily available if you needed anything. The campground and camp store, while busy was very clean. Huge props to the bike shop employees who helped me fix a too tight rear brake on my bike when I forgot all my tools!! Note the bath houses are toilets and sinks only - so don't get excited for a shower at the end of biking the Cades Cove loop unless you plan ahead. The campsites are also pretty closely packed together so be aware of that as well.

Loved staying in Cades Cove. Bathrooms were clean and the grounds were very quiet at night. I wish we could have stayed longer is my only complaint. SMILE

We would recommend adding 1-2 simple shower stalls in the bathrooms for those who do not camp in a trailer. The 3 days we were there we were hot, sticky, and dirty. It would be nice to be able to clean up. Even if the showers were cold water only they would be a welcome addition to the campground. Sadly we probably won't return to camp even though the campground itself was very nice and the park is lovely. It's hard to enjoy your weekend away if you feel grimy.

It was extremely hot BUT you can't control the weather. The check-in and store were excellent with having all we needed.
