Cades Cove is a perfect R & R place. We have an RV and we love the campground section B. The General Store has most everything you may need if you cant or dont want to go into Townsend or Maryville. Although IGA is a must place to pick up something. Just the experience of a small grocery store. The cove is great for hiking, biking, walking or just riding in your own vehicle. If you go in a rush and want to push through quickly . Then this is not the place for you. Rich Mountain road is a must at least once a year. I pick the fall. We just spent our normal 14 days there and would have stayed longer but schedule and the rules dont permit it. Try to walk around all the cabins and do some short hikes if youre able. Did I say that Cades Cove is my home away from home!!

Excellent stay in site #15. We were able to take advantage of the Wednesday non motorized day on the Cades Cove loop and thoroughly enjoyed the bicycle ride, highly recommend. We also did some fly fishing which is always fun. We saw several bears during the stay, one of which was on the perimeter of the campground. Definitely follow the warnings on bear proofing your campsite. Be ready to disconnect. Cell signal is nonexistent and WiFi with Starlink can be spotty.

The Cades Cove Campground is my favorite place to camp when in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. They Genera Store is fully stocked and they have the best Ice Cream Cones there. They also will serve you food. The Campground Facilities are always clean. Can't beat the solitude. If you are an RV/Trailer person then I recommend the B Section from B2-B17. They are the most level in the Generator Section. Here is a video I did of a ride thru of the campgroun if interested: https://youtu.be/veyGl5pXtoY?si=zTXH2Nyg3K7vr4U1

Cades Cove is a beautiful campground with personal space between each campsite. It is very central to all the amenities of The Great Smoky Mountains National Park making it a great location to spend a few days or weeks. Although there are no hookups at the campsite, they do have a dump station and water is available, although the availability could be improved; it does work. We enjoyed our visit to Cades Cove Campground.

Wonder week, fall foliage was perfect. The staff is exceptional! Can not say enough about our experience!

The campground looks horrible, in our campsite there was weeds waist high, it looks as if the campground is never mowed or weedeated. I thought that the parking pass was to put money back into the park system. I would recommend Smokemont in Cherokee, their grounds are pristine.

We had a great time. Was the first time our grandkids had been and got to ride around loop. They had a blast

Prepare or download a trail map b/c they charge 5$ for them. We unexpectedly had a cold weekend but we made the most of it. The staff was nice enough to not address the running gennies at night since it was below freezing.

We had a great time although we were a bit disappointed over the upkeep of the loop. I have been going to Cades Cove all of my life and am now in my fifties. It was really nice when the fields were kept up but now they are overgrown and you can't really see the wildlife which is what we have always enjoyed. I know things and ideas of how things should be change but this kind of ruins it for me. I would love to see someone live there and keep it up as a working farm maybe even using the old equipment to do it so kids could see how things were really done back in the day. Just a thought.

Cades Cove 1 way road was closed. We were given less than 1 weeks notice it was closed. Camp ground store open only 12-5. left campground early. Nothing to do. Disappointed as we brought our bikes to ride the 1 way loop.

We had a great time and walked over to John Oliver cabin, seeing a bear on the way back. Wild turkeys in the field and perfect weather.

We have camped here for years. We love the family friendly atmosphere. There are lots of kids out and about on bikes and scooters. The staff is super helpful and very friendly. October 15-19 2020 the park was super crowded and took HOURS to make the Cades Cove Loop road; campground was full and unusually loud later in the night.
