Great location for hiking and food in Gatlinburg. It is great having Wednesdays devoted entirely for biking around Cades Cove loop road. Don't expect cell service. National Parks are slow making it to the 21st century.

We enjoyed driving the loop road on a rainy day. We thought we would bike it but after driving it, I am glad we didn't. It's hilly with blind turns and no shoulder to ride on. On Wednesdays in the summer, cars are prohibited, that is when I would bike it. Interesting buildings and history.

Park staff very accomodating when we had made a mistake in our reservation dates. No generator after 8 pm a little annoying but honestly the weather was cool enough to sleep without AC during our stay. Wifi available in the amphitheater behind the camp store. Hiking opportunities wonderful; wear hiking shoes due to rocks and roots and steep paths. Very limited WCs in campground and no showers. Potable water available at dump station.

Spacious lots! Very quiet family type atmosphere. Definitely will camp there again.

Great location. Right on Cades Cove loop. Walking distance to equestrian activities. Convenient store with great ice cream. Looking forward to our next stay.

The fall leaves were just changing the week we were camping. We stayed at site C32, great site with a concrete pad. I couldn't figure out why my camper fridge would not work. The pad was very un level, probably 6 inches different from front to rear. As long as we moved our camper the fridge worked well. I will bring some leveling blocks next time. We walked the Cades Cove loop and saw 2 mama bears and 4+ cubs. Its too bad the park does not close the loop in the morning on Weds anymore. We used to bring our son and we would all ride the loop early on weds together.

Nice space between sites, layed out well with trees/grass between level concrete pads. People camping while we were there were respectful and all dogs were leashed. It was unfortunate that the 11 mile loop was jam packed with cars/trucks. We would have had a beautiful bike ride if we did not have to navigate on the narrow road with the gas/diesel vehicles whose exhaust made it the equivalent of spending 2 hours in a closed garage with a diesel truck and a gas truck running! The park really needs to consider a couple hours in the am and a couple hours in the afternoon for the loop to be non gas/diesel motorized vehicles only- bikes, ebikes, even electric golf carts. It seems ridiculous that they just spent a month repaving the road and you cannot safely ride a bike with the cars on the road. ? Didn't anyone consider a bike path separated from the one lane road? An even better idea would be a few electric open air trolley buses looping all day and NO gas or diesel noise & pollution. I would bet everyone would get to see a lot more wildlife! We saw only a few deer in a distant field the entire 11 miles.

This campground should have a camp host on each loop...we experienced campers having extreme loud and sputtering generators...regular daily visitors to the park grab empty campsites to conduct their picnic and start a campfire and then leave.

This campsite is great. Plenty of room and large area between the two sites.(B11). Great for family camping together side by side sites!
