Too many generators, not enough peace and quiet.

I was told by the USGS that my military lifetime pass would alow me to park in any national park. Upon arrival to Cades Cove I was informed by park rangers that my pass is not accepted at that specific park unless I am disabled. I know the park needs to make money but I was already camping there so why charge for me to park outside of my camping spot? Also if my military pass does not work at this particular park then why did I purchase it. Not sure I will go back there now. Very upset!

We return to the Cades Cove campground every year, at least twice a year. Our favorite place to camp! The best part is being so close to the loop. We drive it every evening, and bike or run it on Wednesdays when it’s closed to traffic. The wildlife and scenery never disappoints! It’s a 5 minute walk from the campsite to the loop. And the trip wouldn’t be complete if we didn’t stop in the campground store and treat ourselves to an ice cream ??

Good place to get off the grid and balk to nature

The only downside was that there were no showers available, but bathrooms were nearby. We wanted to bike the loop, but called a couple weeks in advance to check and found out it was being paved. Looking forward to coming back to visit!

Loved it, what a great experience having the whole day just for bikes and walking on the loop! The camp grounds was top notch, great spacing, well kept and just a joy to be there, the convenience store is super and the people working it and the bike shop were the best! I came from Nebraska and must say that I am inspired to make more trips to the Great Smoky Mtns!

Well done Ya All !!!
