Loop being closed on Wednesdays is super nice and wish they would do this year round.Amount of people that visit is astounding.Park does need to build more parking lotsthey turned people around because no parking which is very disappointing now that they are charging people to parkit is the peoples park and to turn them around stating no room is diheartening and is not right.

Our camp site was quiet and well maintained. We had a flock of turkeys come by daily.

Cades Cove campground was nice and the Cades Cove driving loop was great with beautiful views and historic buildings. But we didn't like all the traffic and dangerous narrow winding driving roads through the rest of the park. We went to the Sugarlands Visitor Center at 9 am in the morning when they opened and couldn't find any parking places even in their huge lot. In fact people were double parking so that we might have gotten blocked in if we did try to park. So we didn't even get to stop there and we very disappointed. We also planned on doing some hikes but the parking lots were all filled up even early in the mornings. We realize it is a very popular park but we deliberately went early in May and had hoped that we could do more sightseeing drives and hikes than we were able to do. So we won't ever come again.
