Cades cove campground is in a great location & staff were very sweet people. Except that restrooms should have been cleaner & sanitized. Thats the only thing bothered me.

Beautiful area with convenient access to Cades Cove loop and a nice 1-mile loop hiking trail. We did Cades Cove loop 4 times at different times of the day. Best chance of seeing bears is late afternoon/dusk. Nice, big campsites. However, be sure to check the length of the driveway. Ours was a little short to park both our trailer (22 feet) and truck. The camp store has a variety of nice souvenirs with food and ice cream (yum!) available. The firewood that we bought, however, did not burn well, just lots of smoke.

Tight turn to get backed into the site. Picnic table too close to parking area. Other than that it is a great campground and we will return, but to a different site.

This is the third time we have traveled to Cades Cove for the car-free bicycle Wednesday! What a wonderful treat to be able to walk or pedal this lovely cove without a bumper to bumper line of cars! We will return for this again!

We camped at Cades Cove Campground the week before Labor Day. The campground was quiet and exactly what we had hoped to experience. We have camped in several GSMNP campgrounds and were not surprised or disappointed that there is no hot water and no showers. We stayed for only 4 nights because that's as long as I can go without a shower, plus our battery lost most of its charge by then. Our solar panels were useless in our heavily shaded site. We walked around the loop on Wednesday when it is closed to motor vehicles. That was nice. There were lots of bicycles, many of them were ebikes, but most of them stayed to the left side of the road and they announced their presence before passing us. Our campsite was very large and pretty private. We have a 20 foot TT and it was a little difficult to back it into the site and get it level. I don't think we would reserve that site (C73) again even though it's a beautiful site. We had no bear encounters (hooray!) but did have a few deer walk through our site. The campground staff and volunteers were friendly and helpful. The park rangers were patient and didn't roll their eyes when we asked dumb questions. As we were packing up to head home, we discovered that we had a flat tire on our trailer. We limped out of the campground and stopped at the bike rental to see if they might possibly have a pump we could use to inflate the tire. To our great surprise, a wonderful man brought out an air compressor and filled up the tire. We made it the full 2 1/2 hours back home. We had a very enjoyable camping experience and will come back again (but stay in a more level campsite).

Site was large, comfortable with sense of privacy. Best part was only a mile +/- to Cades Cove Loop Road. Entered loop drive about 8 a.m. in the morning and stayed ahead of the traffic for the most part.

This is a lovely campground with plenty of shade. We came especially for the car-free day to bicycle the Loop Road, and it was wonderful! How to be able to get away from the traffic, and a nice respite for the wildlife too, I am sure!

We love camping at Cades Cove and appreciate the friendly rangers at the welcome station. Hiking the loop is something we really enjoy but wish the season for bikers/pedestrian only was year round. The campground is beautiful and bathrooms kept very clean.

LOVE THE FULL DAY OF BIKING!! We love visiting Cades Cove, and now with Wednesdays closed to vehicular traffic, Cades Cove plunges back into history, and visitors can experience the loop as it should be…peaceful, quiet, magical.

Too many sites were with more than 6 people and a lot of noise in early morning hours.
