The campground is close enough to the Cades Cove loop drive that you can easily bike the loop if you choose. There is a gift shop and food store at the campground. However, the sites are very sloped, not level, and are close together with no privacy. There was no water provided anywhere that we could find except at cleaning stations at the bathrooms. There was no hot water or soap provided in the bathrooms.

Campsites are conversational distance apart. I've never camped so close to other people before. A door slamming competition lasted most of the night. I believe the winner may have qualified for the Olympics. If the park service removed half of the campsites and charged twice the money, this would be a much better place. Our camp neighbors on one side spent their night arguing over riding their bicycles at 11pm and apparently this is a hotly contested subject. Our neighbors on the other side showed up around midnight to set up camp. They promptly started hanging LED string lights and fighting over who should have the car keys. The Campground has zero phone service, which I'm usually okay with. Although this time it would have been handy to find out where the closest hotel was so I could have left and actually got a good night's sleep. 0/10 do not recommend.

I had a wonderful time at this campsite! The site itself was beautiful. It included easy access to bear-proof trash bins and the bathrooms which were very clean! The bathrooms here are the cleanest ones Ive ever seen at a campground. My family and I went to Cades Cove, specifically Abrams Falls right after checking out from the campsite. It is super convenient to camp here if youre going to check out Cades Cove. I plan to camp at this site again!

Very clean campground with great sites. The camp store is well stocked for most of the needed necessities.

Bike day was great. Met some great campers next door. Fishing was good in the small creek. Bathrooms were clean. Rangers were friendly.

Sites are on top of each other. People using generators on the generator-free loop. People walking through other people’s sites (instead of walking along the road to the bathroom), setting off car alarms all through the night. Screaming children at all hours.

Overall, a well managed, clean NPS campground. Wednesday no card on the Loop. The Loop is nice the other 6 days, except no control over folks stopping for long periods on the Loop. Volunteers can’t react.

Nice campground and very quiet. Plenty of hiking near there.

We had a terrific site. The campground is easy to get around and lovely to stay at. we will be back. Stayed twice this summer and coming back in the fall.

Campground is EXCELLENT!!! Drive time from one spot to the next is what you expect in a national park, SLOW.. We saw Black Bear, Turkey, deer, and coyotes. All were beautiful. Fishing was NON-existent, the water was too high. As a note, if you are staying at Cades Cove Campground and want to go to Pigeon Forge. There is a shorter route than going to Gatlinburg. In the middle of Townsend a road goes north out of town, and is only 15 miles to Pigeon Forge, much shorter..
