Great campground site before the full heat of summer hits. Only issue is some of the sites are a bit close together while others are spaced appropriately so choose your spot carefully. Last trip here the neighbor's fire-pit was adjacent to our tent so they were up at the fire at 11 while we were exhausted from the day trying to get to sleep (at least they were quiet, but the fire lit up our entire tent like a light). Beautiful location, easy road to ride a bike, nice hikes (Abrams Falls is great). We've seen a bear or two on every trip into Cades Cove in the last 3 years, but the rangers normally arrive fairly quickly to try and keep everyone safe and traffic flowing. And on the point of traffic, please follow the traffic rules- rude drivers will just stop in the road and block traffic when there are plenty of signs saying to pull over and not block traffic. Last trip we had a three hour jam on the loop road because everyone wanted to stop in the road to see a bear. It took the rangers about an hour to get to the bear due to all the cars in the way with nowhere to go. It's great to see wildlife but seriously folks- have some consideration for others. And park rangers please consider widening the shoulders or something so you can always get to where you're needed and keep traffic flowing.

Site was ok but we booked last minute so as expected. No privacy and mostly shady, all sites are super close to each other including ours. A short walk to bathrooms through trees, very clean bathroom! But no soap. One good area to hammock but its close to the road. Loud group of kids yelling all day. The camp store offers a lot and biking on Wednesdays around the loop was super fun!

We are tent campers, so we really appreciated access to the generator-free zone.

It's always wonderful camping at the campground. The rangers are the best. Clean restrooms. Never have any problems.

Perfect location for seeing wildlife in Cades Cove. Less crowded area of the park. Entering through Townsend instead of Gatlinburg really helped.
Beautiful area. Check in was easy and the store is has so much! Bathrooms where clean as well. Will defiantly come back.

Mobile Data Speed Map
#123
If there are speed tests submitted for a campground the campsite icons will be colored based on the average download speed and the border will be colored based on the average upload speed.
In this example Campsite #123 has very good download speeds and decent upload speeds. If a campsite has a solid yellow color it means there was no data speed detected in the test(s). Clicking on a campsite icon reveals more details.
