The camp ground was very well kept and clean. Easy to travel to town and other near by cities. The Loup drive and hiking trails are amazing!!!

Very loud. Was looking for a quiet experience but with so many people there night time was extremely difficult to sleep in a tent. Too many kids screaming at the top of their lungs while riding right on the side of our tent

Excellent spot to stay when you want to get into Cades Cove without the long line!! Even though the campground was full, it was quiet and nice. The store are only open from 9-5 FYI. If you arrive after 5 and need firewood, you can go around back behind the store and get some on the honor system.

Very clean restrooms, and excellent camping sites at an amazing location - Cades Cove Loop Road. Very highly recommended!

Restrooms were very dirty. Outside sink was clogged and gross. Staff were very friendly and nice. Came to every campsite to tell us what to do during tornado watch.

Perfect site and campground. Timing for early spring is best, crowds are small, little to no traffic and plenty of quiet spaces. Will definitely go back in the off season.

The campground was well kept. Thank you NPS. We were able to do several hikes and spot lots of wildlife. The fall colors were incredible.

Beautiful campground, friendly, helpful hosts. Sites are VERY close together. Felt like the people in campsites next to us were sharing our fire/campsite with us. Fire pits are not cleaned, had trash in them. Concessions are expensive.

THe campground was very clean and quiet after dark. The rest rooms were always clean and the store has adequate firewood for reasonable cost. My part of the campground was frequented by a male wild turkey each evening (and became the alarm clock each morning!) that was fun to watch. The mix was maybe 40% tents to 60% RV's. My site had very tall trees that gave shade and allowed me to tie up a tarp over my picnic table the 1 day we had steady precip. The check in station was staffed by very helpful people with great knowledge of trails and conditions that helped me finalize the hikes I wanted to do. Once back home, i booked another visit out 2 months back to this same campground.

Great National Park campground located within the Great Smoky Mountains, in Cades Cove. Come in thru Townsend, if towing a camper of any size. A must do is to drive Cades Cove loop in the morning and again in the evening. There is a Friends of the Smokies store close to the Cable Grist mill, stop in and support the park.

Camp store at campground is expensive, recommend sourcing "National Park certified firewood for use in National parks" prior to visit. $10 a bundle at camp store, kids Ice cream cone $3. Campground features no showers but they do have flush toliets in restrooms and a central dump station. Bring your bikes, there is plenty of places to bike within the campground and Cades Cove loop. This campground is very clean and please help keep it that way.

Tons of hiking and backcountry adventures close by. Gatlinburg is a 25 mile trek one way and can take a hour plus depending on traffic. FYI, very popular Laurel Falls hike is about 1/2 way to Gatlinburg. Recommend getting there very early. Come and Enjoy the Great Smoky Moutains National Park.

Awesome place to camp. Website instructions need updated as they instruct to check in, or report to ranger station next morning if arriving too late. Ranger station was never manned the entire time we were there. Be nice to have the hours posted on the door.

A great time was had by our family Christmas week. The park was not too busy, and therefore we were able to enjoy the beauty of it all without the crowds. It was certainly cold! But we had a blast!

Camp ground was well kept. The was no trash seen, our fire pit was cleaned of ashes, there was a camping pad for pitching the tent, and the bathrooms were clean. It was easy to navigate to our campsite and walk to the bear proof trash canister. Would definitely stay again. Also would recommended buying firewood on your way up to the mountain (somewhere local as to avoid transferring any pests from other regions) as they don't sell any on site.

We had an absolute blast at the campground. It was a little difficult to find anyone to discuss things about our sites. The people working in the stores said we needed to speak with the Rangers. We could never find any Rangers to speak with and ask questions. Other than that, we had no problems. Sites were clean. Grounds were well kept. Nature trail was maintained and beautiful. Access to firewood and ice was easy, even after hours. Definitely going back.

On this stay I camped alone as a 38-year-old female for about a week. It was quiet and peaceful as it always is. The only sounds you hear are mainly kids playing and families enjoying themselves around the fire. The bathrooms were clean. Campsite was big and I enjoyed resting in my hammock in the afternoon after hiking. You can walk over and rent a bike to bike the loop which you absolutely must. This campground is my zen place and I hope you get to enjoy it too.
