Cades Cove campground is one of my favorites and been coming here for years. It's usually crowded, but still has a nice and usually quiet feel to it. I do wish the campground host would round more often and enforce the generator rule though. The back area is supposed to be generator free however there the people next to me had there's running wide open for several hours that evening. They finally shut it off way after dark. So much for peace and quiet.

C58 is a great site within the campground with a roomy, level tent pad. Neighboring sites largely screened by trees, which was nice in such a popular place. Quick in-and-out to get to the park and CC nature loop. Welcomed ranger check-in and really, really appreciated ability to collect dead wood for kindling -- so many other parts don't allow.

Camping at Cade's Cove was a great experience. Check-in was simple and we were given clear instructions on how to find our camp site and navigate the park. Camp sites are very close together so if you have a larger family, getting 2 sites might be a good option. We were a family of 5 plus a dog and needed two sites to accommodate both of our tents. Sites were well appointed with a fire ring and grill grate and the tent pad was sufficient. Bathrooms are toilets and sinks only, but they were very clean and fairly close to our camping site. We would definitely stay again.

Decent campground at a great location. Lots of trails to visit and cycling around the cades cove loop was an amazing experience. My only issue is how close the campsites were to each other.

This campground was definitely off grid but had clean restrooms. It was perfect for a total get away from the world if you can tolerate being out of touch. No cell service, no wifi. Has a great store with hot food and lots of memorabilia. The Cades Cove Loop is awesome and Wednesday of each week set aside for hikers and bicycles no motor vehicles. It was incredible , fantastic views, wildlife, historic buildings and the old mill with another store. Campsites are big enough and not too close. B Loop is better for bigger campers/RV's and C Loop is perfect for tents. Very strict food/trash rules for high bear activity, however I only saw two and that was on the scenic loop. Also there are many great hiking trails! The town of Townsend was about 12 miles away with plenty of restaurants, Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge and Sevierville also not too far. I will be back for a longer stay next year!

I had the worst campsite there, but it was the only one available. I camp in my minivan and the driveway was so sloped that I kept sliding down into a heap. Then, I had to claw my way back up to lie flat again. Had I been in a tent, however, it would have been fine. Restrooms were much cleaner than the last time I was there.

Our campsite itself was good- it was clean and we liked the trees around it. We could see other campsites from our tent, but we still felt like we had a little privacy. There was a couple that brought a toddler and baby right next to use that were noisy, but that wasn’t the campsite’s fault lol. It was really nice to camp right next to the Cove where we could conveniently take bikes out to the loop on Wednesday!

Its a beautiful campground and would have been perfect except that there is practically no enforcement of the rules. We saw one ranger quickly speed through the campground one time and never saw any other staff for two days. Generators were running at 7am in the generator free loop. The water was shut off at the fresh water supply in the dump station area. Where are we supposed to get water? Id have brought my own if wed known that. There was ONE restroom open for the entire loop which is at least 75-100 sites and it was filthy. Most of the campground was closed off for the winter along with all the other restrooms. Other than that Id say it went pretty well

Been camping at Cades Cove for 20+ years and still my favorite spot!! Love it there!! Raised our boys camping in Cades Cove and Im hoping they will raise their children there as well when the time comes. Plenty of hiking and wildlife.

May 1 - May 7 Our first time Spring camping and hiking in the Smokies. Weather forecast was dismal but we caught a break and had excellent weather for all but the last day. Coopers Road Trail to Abrams Falls loop - numerous Pink Lady Slippers and Trillium and Dwarf Iris - ovewhelming really. The camp was full but quiet and the trails were empty. We hiked 44 miles in 4 days and saw only a few people at Abrams Falls and no one on the Rabbit Creek 11 mile out-and-back or other trails. Vehicle-free day was very busy on the loop but less busy than during our fall visits. Very nice time of year to visit if you like it quiet. Saw our first park coyote near the Cable Mill.

What a lovely place. I was only here for a night but already have reservations to come back. Even though the campground was full it was splendidly quiet. And absolutely no cell service (with T-Mobile anyway), which was wonderful. I have it 4 stars because the restrooms ran out of water overnight and we're locked until late morning. Hopefully they figured out how to prevent this from happening (even though it didn't prevent me from b9okong practically as soon as I left). Otherwise, a lovely place in a beautiful forest. Looking forward to more exploring on my next trip, when I'm staying longer.

I didn't arrive til 11:30 pm the first night and when I got there someone was parked in my lot. They left early in the morning so I just took it back the next day. Other than that the campsites and bathrooms were clean so no other complaints.

C 58 with Sylvan Sport GO and a two person tent in October. Backs up to a pull through site, but on a corner, so there is some privacy. Can walk to either bathroom, but neither are too close.

We had a lovely time at Cades Cove - 5 nights following labor day. The tents-only campground was a welcome improvement over last years stay in the generator loop. We had excellent advice and information from the staff, including the warm and welcoming campground hosts and the bike rental staff. The tent pads are a little close together, but understandable given the popularity of the location. Don't miss the short nature trail off the loop - a surprisingly diverse ecosystem in a short, lovely 1 mile leg stretcher - good after our long drive. Make sure to make use of the "no vehicle Wednesdays" to bike or walk the Cove loop. Numerous day hike trails can be accessed from the campground as well. We will return to this campground for another visit soon.

The campground at Cades Cove is in the perfect location for those who enjoy hiking, bicycling, wildlife viewing and visiting historic structures. Within walking distance is the camp store, bicycle rental, ranger station and a riding stable. The bathrooms were always clean and the campground quiet. Checking into the campground was easy and the staff friendly.
