This is a perfect location if you are new to the Smoky mountains. There is a ton to explore and great for families with the comfort of having a store. We saw a lot of wildlife, including 11 bears in one day but the rangers were always there to assist in keeping them out of the campground. The only downfall is that there are no showers and the bathrooms are a little dated.

The bathrooms were heated, firewood was available after hours, the campground was GORGEOUS! Loved it and would totally come again.

The campground was great. Rangers frequent the area regularly to make sure everyone is doing what theyre supposed to. The bathrooms were dirty but I did notice them clean so that could be a visitor thing rather than a park thing.

Cades cove is one of the must-see place when you visit the Smoky Mountain National park. Campground is neat and well-equipped. Go around the Cades cove loop by bike or by walking if you can on a vehicle-free days and you'll have much better experience than by car. Then hike the Abrams falls trail. We are fortunate to live relatively close and have done all of the above (camping, biking the loop, hiking the Abrams falls trail) multiple times and it just does not get old. Every time we continue to marvels at the park's beauty.
