Nice campground, with a lot of history buildings to see. Saw some turkeys, and few deer. Woul probably see more wildlife at a different time of year. The self guided tour of the old cabins was the highlight of the trip. Will probably go again, but not for at least a year. Cell service is all but non-existent. If you need to let family know you made it, message them before entering the park.

Fantastic location in one of my favorite NPs! Staff always beyond helpful and pleasant. Only issue is light management by fellow campers. No one seems to know the etiquette of handling head lamps and head lights. Sites are tight so it makes it even more of a problem.

Always a nice stay. The staff did a good job taking care of the bathrooms and the campground.

It’s our favorite dry campground in the eastern United States. The Cades Cove loop is spectacular for viewing wildlife. The town of Townsend has everything you need and most everything you could want while camping in the Smoky Mountains. 5 stars for sure
Site C32 is right next to the bathroom so you always have foot traffic next to you. The site on the other side is also quite close. The campsites seem a bit crowded together so hard to have secluded areas, though quiet hours were enforced. The site itself was long enough to accommodate our truck tent with ample room and plenty of space around the fire ring. The bathrooms are clean and the drinking water and wash station for cooking equipment was nice to have close by. Being next to the Cades Cove loop road was convenient for exploring. We would choose a different site for our next visit to the campground.
Cades Cove is beautiful location. It is a family campground that has many sites close together. It got a little crazy during the dinner hour but quieted down nicely after dark. Our site was next to a washroom, which received tons of use because people who were driving the scenic loop often would drive up to use this facility before exiting. We were here over spring break and there was very little ranger presence. (No one to check you in/out). Seeing that the campground was completely booked we were a little surprised by the lack of oversite.
I’ve been here so many times and each time I am totally amazed. This trip we were snowed in and had trails to ourselves it was beautiful. The park rangers checked on us frequently and made sure we were ok

Mobile Data Speed Map
#123
If there are speed tests submitted for a campground the campsite icons will be colored based on the average download speed and the border will be colored based on the average upload speed.
In this example Campsite #123 has very good download speeds and decent upload speeds. If a campsite has a solid yellow color it means there was no data speed detected in the test(s). Clicking on a campsite icon reveals more details.
