The communication from the rangers regarding burn bans and inclement weather coming in was appreciated due to no cell signal! The bathrooms were well kept and the campsite was plenty spacious for 2 adults, a toddler and a dog!

We made a reservation on line while traveling. We changed it because we were going to arrive a day earlier. When we got to the campground late the office was closed and there was no confirmation regarding the campsite. There were other peoples confirmations but not ours. We camped in a spot that was open. In the am we checked in with the staff, they said that the changes made on line (which we had confirmation) did not show up on their system. The taking of our money worked flawlessly, even charging us $10 to change, but did not make the change

We are regular visitors and of course it was great. The only thing that kept it from being excellent was the traffic. We wanted to ride our bikes on the loop and the traffic made it almost impossible. We finally took Hyatt lane and went back.

The best thing about the Cades Cove CAMPGROUND is that it is perpetually serene and quiet- I put "campground" in caps because Cades Cove itself and the store can be a bit of a zoo during operating hours. The store can be a madhouse, but a few hundred yards away in the campground it is so serene. The driveway into the campsite is perfectly paved; the picnic table is set on a concrete slab. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that the campsites are so close together you can literally spit on the campsite next to you, and at 62 I can't hocker up a good one as well I used to, but in this place that wouldn't be an issue. Other campgrounds have their sites spaced much further apart (Elkmont, Smokemont) but I already knew this coming in. The rangers were very sweet and helpful, especially when helping me locate the Anthony Creek trailhead. The C loop tends to draw a great deal of families with kids on bicycles; this is not at all an issue for me, but it may be for some. I will camp here again.

Lovely campground and beautiful park. However, the park really needs to upgrade to include water at the individual campsites and have showers available. Otherwise stays have to be too short to truly enjoy the park. Cades Cove was very interesting and is a "MUST SEE" part of the park. We can't wait to come back. (But until there are showers available, we'll be staying somewhere else.)

Very peaceful and can’t beat the proximity to the loop road in the morning.
