Always love camping at Cades Cove Campground. Restrooms are clean and convenient to camp sites. Good food and ice cream at the Camp Store. And of course all the scenic beauty and wildlife galore!

Nice campground. Bathhouse was clean and had enough stalls and running water. The trash cans are convenient and we didn't find it loud or smelly. Tent pad at site easily fit two small tents.

We appreciated being in a quiet generator free loop. We drove the Cades cove loop and appreciate the fact that it can be car free one day per week for bicycles. Abram's falls hike was great. It was convenient to have the store. The check in process was easy and the Rangers were helpful. It wasn't made clear to us that we needed to be in the amphitheater to take advantage of the Wi-Fi signal right

The scenery is beautiful. We needed more firewood than expected for mid October.

camp ground sites are WAY to close together. Only 2 bath houses for entire camp ground and 1 was completely closed down. The only one that was open was dirty and had missing toilets. Disappointed and probably wont camp there again

Pretty spot
Parking spots on only some tent sites (unfortunately not ours)
Someone stole our firewood
Lack of signage to direct to campsites
Have stayed in MUCH better campsites for a fraction of the cost.

Camp sites are small but I would still camp here. My son had a wonderful time and we love the cove.

Clean and spacious site with ample hookups and amenities. Clean and warm bathrooms. Full sense of being in the woods: a lone buck walked through the site one morning. Take full advantage of the picnic areas nearby, which are perfect for a hike followed by a stream-side meal. Note: Most sites full even during the winter off-season.

The campground space was perfect, the bathrooms were clean, but the rangers and employees were horrible. Seemed like every single one was having a bad day, every day. Except for one lady I spoke with in the office, everyone acted like theyd rather us all be gone than in the great smoky mountains.

The campsites are very close to each other, but the perk of off-season camping is the quietness and solitude. There were a good amount of camper vans and RVs, compared to tent campers. Everyone was really nice and respectful of the space and rangers were never far, if you needed them. The campground was clean and the bathrooms were nice and warm. I enjoyed that there are trails within walking distance near or around the campground. Saw a momma bear and her cub across from my site my first night there! There are also lots of deer and turkey running around.

Right next door to Cades Cove. Walk up to deer and turkey walking by my tent.

We very much enjoyed our stay here. We had many conveniences such as a fire pit, picnic table and bathrooms. The site was attractive and clean and deer and turkeys wandered into the campsite several times. There were plenty of trees.

Site C26 is very close to the next site, but I was happy I was not in the middle of the three sites. Cades Cove tent-only campsites are decent though, like the ones near area C26. some of them are too close together. I would not want to stay at those sites for more than one or two nights.
@AllixBCC375B5A · Camped on Sep 27, 2019 at Campsite #C26
The sites were very close together with not much privacy. We heard the couple at the site next to us snoring the entire night. The bathrooms were very dark and there was no soap. The area was clean. It was convenient to the loop and the store for buying wood.

My daughter and I have been coming here for a few years now. We love tent camping at Cades Cove to get away from everything. Sometimes we have camped on the weekend, but it is much quieter during the week and we enjoy that. We have gone for a horseback ride, biked the Cades Cove loop, hiked the nature trail. One year we drove over to Clingman's Dome and hiked to the observation tower. We haven't tubed in the river (outside the park) yet, but maybe next time. But we really enjoy just doing nothing, like reading in our hammocks or working a jigsaw puzzle in our screen house. We stay 2 nights always, because that's as long as we can stand to go without a shower. The facilities are clean and well-maintained, there's just no showers. Because of that, 4 stars.
