Site and restrooms were very clean. The only issue was the firepit was pretty full, which we cleaned out as best we could. That is understandable given the time of year and the current administration's lack of adequate funding to the NPS.

This was my 5th, annual, visit for wildflower hiking in as many years. At Check-In, the rangers/volunteers gave me great advice when I asked for reco's on trails for flowers, general info like upcoming weather forecast and any closures, and the latest status on the Fire Ban (oh, and how to properly pronounce the new Cherokee name of TPFKACD - The Peak Formerly Known as Clingmans Dome!). Recent rain had trails wet early in my week with some stream crossings swollen to 2x as wide making my choice of a hiking staff very useful for rock-to-rock fording. Specifically, I'd not seen Abrahms Falls GUSHING like that before! Wow. Two of my fav hikes are nearby and allow an early start since no real "commute" time needed: Anthony's Creek/Bote Mtn up to the AT; and the Rich Mtn/Crooked Arm/Indian Grave trail. Also, I did a First for me by driving the Rich Mtn road out of the park when it opened for the season during my stay. Not a guard rail anywhere on this super curvy ascent/descent out to Townsend! The only conflicting info I was given was about Outgoing mail from the Visitor Centers. I always send a handful of postcards so ask when I buy them if I have to pop out to the Post Office in Townsend. At Kuwohi I was told "now we take outgoing, stamped mail (but no bill payments)". But at Cades Cove I was told "no, we don't". Regardless, the park was beautiful as always, the campground had lots of friendly, respectful campers in it as usual, and I enjoyed every step of the 42 miles that I added to my GSMP total hiked log. Oh, and I added 4 new wildflowers to my First Time list: Caroline Vetch, Dwarf Gensing; Yellow Pandarin and Bleeding Heart! (Fringed PolyGala is still my fav...along trail to Abrahms Falls)

Cades Cove is a beautiful way to enjoy nature. I enjoyed having access to the camp store to buy a hotdog or ice cream after the long bike ride along the loop. The campsites are very close to one another.

My 4th April staying in this campground. It's quiet at night, clean and campers are well behaved. The concessions are convenient and reasonably priced. I'll be back.

Very busy campground, but in a good way. Lots of kids playing and families enjoying walks because there’s no cell service or Wi-Fi anywhere! That’s great. The bathrooms were not so great. They were not cleaned at all in the 3 days we were there. They smelled like the ape house at the zoo. Not even soap in the bathroom! At $30 bucks a night you’d think there would be soap.

A peacefull quiet campground with friendly park rangers with years of experience with wild life behavior. A must do experience is to ride a bike or walk cades cove on Wednesday when no motor vehicles are permitted. No better way to spend a day with friends and family.

Reserved a campsite online. Arrived at our designated day and time to find the ranger station closed due to staffing. We set up and enjoyed the evening. The next day we came back to camp to find a notice at our site that we were not registered

The campsite and campground were both very nice. The bathroom in the middle of A loop was closed, however there were no signs anywhere indicating that or directing you to the next closest one (which wasn't that close).. When leaving the park the traffic to Gatlinburg was the worst I've ever experienced in a National Park. It took us over an hour (closer to two) to drive the one mile to the stop sign. The park could make the intersection an all way stop (or have somebody directing traffic), and save everyone a lot of time and stress. I will visit Great Smoky Mountain again (this was my third time in the past year and a half), but I won't visit during fall when the traffic is unbearable.

Very nice campground. Well maintained and close to good hiking trails. We did not expect to see mountain bikes, but other campers informed us that some new trails were recently opened just outside the National Park (MTB not allowed in GSMNP). So that is something to plan for next time.

This was not our first time camping at Cades Cove; but it was our first time winter camping. Amazing! The heated bathrooms were just a bonus to the sparsely populated campground. We will definitely be back in the winter!
A well shaded campground with adequate, reliable water sources. Registration office has plenty of information and advice for activities when asked. Concession/store is well stocked with firewood, ice and also wide variety of snacks and gifts. Quiet hours are very well respected! But (mens) restroom was not clean most days during the 5 nights I was there.

Nice clean campground and camping areas are well maintained. Toilets were good. Would be nice if wifi was more accessible. Also would be nice to be able to a take our dog with us on hikes. All the trails in the campground did not allow dogs. Very disappointing for a campground that is pet friendly.

I really loved Cades Cove. I felt safe at the campground. And the hiking trails are so very well maintained. Also, as a solo hiker I was afraid of bears but a couple of very nice rangers talked to me about bear safety. I felt so much better after my counseling session, I hiked all over the place!! Check out Gregory Bald! Beautiful spot, thank you!!

Mobile Data Speed Map
#123
If there are speed tests submitted for a campground the campsite icons will be colored based on the average download speed and the border will be colored based on the average upload speed.
In this example Campsite #123 has very good download speeds and decent upload speeds. If a campsite has a solid yellow color it means there was no data speed detected in the test(s). Clicking on a campsite icon reveals more details.
