The campground is a perfect location close to Cades Cove. Lots of trails to hike around the Cove. The vehicle free Wednesdays give you a great chance to experience the loops without the worry of traffic jams. The camp store is well stocked with necessary items and gifts.

Nice shady and quiet site. Could hear the next site snoring though.

As Senior citizens who still sleep in a tent, we enjoy living in the outdoors and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park is an awesome place to experience it. Cades Cove and Elkmont are our favorite spots so far.

Like many of the other one star reviews, my experience was the same. Poor customer service at check-in; Rangers driving by many times in one day to find something wrong; The food storage requirement is a real hassle when you have a truck with a soft camper shell--which meant every time I wanted to eat, I had to remove 3/4 coolers, cook, then put them back into the back seat of my truck; I left water and coke on my table and, when I went to the office to retrieve them, I was met by the sheriff who treated me like a criminal and wrote me some sort of warning. I've stayed in hundreds of corps of engineer, forest service, and national park campgrounds and this one, by far, is the most restrictive and most negative. Everywhere you turn, all communication stresses the things you cannot do--instead of the beautiful things the park has to offer. Very bad experience. Sorry. I believe the staff there needs to focus on making the customer experience a pleasant one instead of one of fear of violating one of their rules.

The camp site was great. Super convenient to cades code loop. My fiance and I biked it and then drove it in the same day. The camp store is great and the bicycle man is fantastic. If you don't rent a bike you should still stop in and say hello to him, super friendly.
No showers on site or nearby so make sure to get yourself a shower bag.

A nice campground - sites are reasonably spaced out. Was pretty quiet. Loved biking the cades cove loop on wednesday when it was closed to cars!
