Site 7 was a great location with no campers across the road. Close to restroom and easy walk to the store. Tent area was level and site was spacious. Would stay at cades cove again.

Campground was very crowded. Most off the sites were still closed. I understand that there are seasons for this campground but I run into the same issue every year. They open up the rest of the sites late.The reason for the bad rating. 7:30 am multiple large earthmoving type trucks and dump trucks started rolling out with the loudest reverse buzzer you have ever heard. This was constant all morning.They need to hire a professional photographer to photograph all the sites. The picture made the site look completely level. IT WAS NOT

There are no showers at this location or any location within the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The bathrooms have flush toilets but no heating and no hot water. The Cades Cove Tour Road is very crowded, but paved, so plan at least two hours to get through it (many people block the one lane road with their vehicles to view wildlife). If you go through with a motorcycle, plan on using your clutch alot. On Wednesdays, only bicycles can travel on the Tour Road.

There are no showers at the campground. The bathrooms are powerwashed periodically but are old and dirty. Lawn was not mowed and paths to bathrooms are lined with poison ivy. Apparently they are having a staffing shortage. Get up early on Wednesday to bike the loop at dawn-well worth it to avoid crowds and see more wildlife! Rangers are knowledgeable and friendly!

The site is nice but the platform is a little slanted. There is a nice short nature hike that is close by in the campground. The road to the campground gets backed up when the loop gets backed up so if you already did the loop might be best to do some other hikes further away and come back in the evening.

A beautiful campground! The bathrooms could use some work and there are no showers, but I still look forward to staying here again! Biking the Cades Cove Loop on a Wednesday when there are no cars allowed is an incredible experience.

Although I never located the hot shower my husband said they had our over all experience was blissful. There was tons of dogs near us that didnt like the wildlife movement at night but that is to be expected. The bathrooms were clean and the campsite well maintained. The store takes full advantage of the no stores in 10+ miles (25-30 minutes) of the location with their pricing. The wildlife on the loop didnt disappoint us at all. We seen so many bear and deer. It was breathtaking sunrises too. We will go back.. soon I hope!

Location is convenient and people at the campsites were very nice. Campsites have low privacy and firewood is not available in the evenings (although when the store is open it is very nice). Also our grill grate was broken making it hard to cook dinner.
There was also a strong wind storm while we were there and no park rangers or campsite staff really informed anyone as to what was going on with park and road closures.

Cades Cove is always amazing. The staff are fantastic as well. Glad to have been able to see the beautiful bears in there natural habitat.
