Its a pleasant place to camp. Only thing missing was a spigot for running water for dishes and refilling jugs.

We arrived just after the office closed but found our reserved campsite and set up our tent. The next morning we broke camp and I went to the office and checked in and out at the same time. We did the Cade's Cove Loop and saw 5 bear and a bunch of whitetail deer and turkey. Rangers were friendly, helpful and professional. We want to come back and do the loop on bicycles.

Had a great time! Me and my pup camped for one night and had a great experience in the campground and drove the Cades Cove loop the next morning! Staff was amazing!

Beautiful campground! Went on a Wednesday when the scenic loop was closed to motorist, so I could bike it. It was the best ride Ive ever been on. Saw almost 20 black bears! The campground also has a wonderful gift shop with hot food & ice cream. I stayed at C5 & my only complaint is that it was directly across from the maintenance entrance. Before 7am you could hear them starting all their landscape equipment, the load thuds of the garbage pick up vehicles on trailers and staff driving in blaring their music.

Cades Cove is a nice, clean campgrounds, with plenty of sites. If you are an early riser, who plans on being at the gate at sunrise, keep in mind that the store restroom don't open until the store opens. I camp here every year and one of my must do activities includes going into Townsend and eating at Burger Master. Yes, it's that good! Check their schedule, because it's very limited. Also note that there is very little, if any cell service in the campground.
As for traveling the Cove loop road, be prepared for long, long delays, as people will stop in the middle of the road for a bear, a deer, even a turkey and the backup can go back for miles, regardless of how much room there is to pull over.

We had a great night at Cades Cove. We tent camped. Quiet campground. The access to the 11 mile Cades Cove Loop was our reason for camping here and it was a good decision. Brought our bikes just for this reason. Lovely bike ride.

Campground office was closed during my visit because of short staffing. Restrooms nearest me was open from 9-5pm only. Had to go to the picnic area restrooms which was far from my campsite. No cellular reception. There is a wifi connection available for use near the campground store. Overall, it was a good stay.

Campground was clean and properly staffed, my only complaints would be with the not so friendly ranger I was greeted by upon check in along with the closed campground restroom in the second loop. The only open restroom was located at the back of the campground 250ish yards away when we stayed 10/20/22. With all the new funding planned, hopefully they get this fixed soon.

I've been coming to Cades Cove campgrounds my whole life (68 years) and still love the beauty of these surroundings and mountains. It's part of the magnificents and beauty of the Lord our God has given us too enjoy.

Nice facility & nice people. There are flush toilets and drinking water, but no showers. The sites are non-electric and I didn't much care to listen to my neighbor's generator throughout the day, but it was only about an hour each day. During the regular season a portion of the campground is set aside for non-generator use and all season quiet hours are 8pm to 8am.Overall, we felt the campground was very nice and generally quite. A beautiful area.

The camp sites are literally on top of each other. There is no privacy at all. Not even trees to give some small resemblance of it.

Loved Cades Cove! We biked the cove, hiked the Appalachian Trail, Bote Mountain Trail, Abram’s Falls and Laurel Falls. Going in early spring was nice, trails were not congested. Thank you for paving the parking at the campsites. Last year I tripped over a parking stop in the dark and fractured my hip which shortened our trip. My fault for not using a flashlight but fewer obstacles helped! So much to do and see. We’ll be back!
