The campground is secluded and beautiful, but it is down a windy, one-lane road which can be very difficult to manage if more than one vehicle attempts to navigate the road at once. The site I was originally supposed to be in had very low hanging branches that would have scraped and hit any vehicle parked in the spot, so I booked the next site over and it was great.

Friendly quiet and well maintained rustic park. Hiking is great. Bathroom and available water is great. Most sites are heavily shaded as is typical in the Smokeys

Abrams Creek campground has beautiful hiking trails! The bathrooms and campsite were clean and well kept. The park ranger was very helpful answering all of our questions. The only downside is that the campsites are grouped very close together.

Great quiet place off the beaten path. There are only 16 sites so its not super busy with people coming in and out. Love the creek sound when sleeping. Good quick hikes to adventure around.

One of the most beautiful campgrounds I've been to. Very quiet and peaceful, and the creek offers fishing or a refreshing dip to cool off. There are several trails in the campground, including one that will take you to Abram's Falls. Nearby Townsend has a few restaurants and tubing trips on Little River, as well as a main entrance to the park. If you're looking for a laid back camping experience, you can't beat Abram's Creek.

Probably the most peaceful campground I have ever stayed at. The only negative I can think of is that parking is very limited. Barely enough for one car in most sites. On our second night there we actually had the biggest black bear I have ever seen walk up to my tent about 20 feet from my buddy and I. Turns out the neighbors left a buffet of food out and basically rang the dinner bell. Do be aware that you are in bear country and clean up after yourselves.

The hiking trails in the area were great. We saw one black bear on the trail to the falls. The water in the campground was good. Campsites are in close proximity to each other, we had spot 16, which is right at the entrance, but you don't have a neighbor on one side which make it nice. I would go back again.

Abrams Creek is a nice campground tucked out-of-the way from all the busy tourist thoroughfares of the Smoky Mountains. The sites are spaced close to one another, but with only 16 sites in all, and constant sound of the creek bubbling right alongside (sites 1-9 are literally on the bank of the creek), it still feels quiet and peaceful. The entire campground is very well-maintained and has easy access to two trailheads for day hikes (Abrams Falls is a 5.1 mile hike along the creek) or as a starting off point for backcountry camping.

We loved the campground. It was just as the pictures showed. Small number of sites, well maintained and quiet. The only downside is part of the upside - the location is far from other areas of the park by car. As long as you know what you are getting, it is a great place to stay.
