Excellent site right on the water. Tent pads are level and the driveways are suitable for a single car. Everyone at the site was quiet and kept to themselves. It was a very nice experience that I would do again.

This campground is definitely a hidden gem! It does take longer to get to than the other campgrounds in the park but it is very quiet and secluded. Our site was quite literally right next to Abrams Creek. The campground is very peaceful and we heard many owls calling at dusk.

Sites on the riverbank are at a premium, reserve early. However, by checking back regularly I have nearly always found at least one site open due to cancellation-occasionally even the riverbank sites.

The road to get in was kind of intense for me being from the midwest, but that was half the fun. Super quaint and quiet dwelling nestled into the Smokies. Being located on the creek was amazing. I would stay here again for sure.

The access to trails is awesome - you can do as little or as much exploring as you’d like. This is a big plus. The remoteness and size are also big pluses. The creek-side sites are beautiful. The negatives might seem nit picky, but do take a shine off our experience - the first (and I think it’s related to its remoteness and size) is that there is no camp host. There was not even a ranger that came through to check on things - things like campers playing music for the whole place to hear. The bathrooms are structurally compromised - broken screens for critters to get in.

It was an absolutely lovely time and very quiet which is what I appreciated most of all. I finally was able to stay next to the river and it was wonderful. The hike next to the campground was beautiful and full of wildflowers and one of my favorite campgrounds.
