The campground is beautiful and the sites are spacious (we were in F section). We could hear the river from our site, and get to it without any problem. The bathrooms were clean, but lights not on after dark. Would prefer LED lights that come on automatically when someone enters. The thing that would make this campground so much better would be hot showers!

I loved being by the creek . I loved the way I could walk around without climbing hills, just an easy walk. I loved the log bridge over the creek. And it was great to be that close to Cherokee and the beginning of the Blue Ridge Parkway!

Very good campsite. across from camp host who never said one word to us for 4 days. In fact, the day we were backing our camper into the site we received no help from host. My wife is disabled FYI. Also, at the dump station I was trying to get water from hydrant. The hose connection needed a plug on the outlet. I asked a worker who was mowing. His answer was "use another one" while walking away, He did not understand the problem. And didn't want to know. Eventually I moved the camper and used the hose that has no connection like a garden hose which was needed to fill my water supply. On a positive note, Ranger Noha was very helpful with this problem. In fact, this is the second time Ranger Noha has assisted me when the computer was down at the ranger station a few weeks ago. This is a very good campground. I have been camping here for 60 plus years. Bathrooms clean, grass cut , no trash a Ten. Social skills on some a zero.

I love this campground! We stayed at F46, which is a shady lot beside the river. We enjoyed going to the Oconoluftee visitors center, where we checked our texts and emails. We saw elk either at the visitors center or between the campground and visitors center every day. We loved the river trail between the center and Cherokee which was mostly level and gave access to several good sites for wading and swimming. We walked to the arch on the Alum Cave trail; it was beautiful but a little too strenuous for us to go all the way to the cave. It was totally worth being without cell phone and internet for a reprieve from the summer heat.

Everything was good but people were not picking up the dog poo. Maybe remind animal owners to clean up after their dogs

My creekside site was very relaxing. All RVers followed the rules on generator use. Park conveniently located near Cherokee with convenient access to the Blue Ridge Parkway.

One of the nicest and most picturesque campsites I have ever stayed at. Site felt private, plenty of space, drive thru was a plus. Wish I had a canoe or kayak along with me to enjoy the water.

I was there in early Oct. and my daily entertainment was the Elk watching every evening.
