It was fantastic! Everything was easy to find, the campsites were clean, the rangers and park staff were friendly. The campsites at the back are quieter and the river is not even a minute walk away.

The campground was very nice. It was my first time camping in the Smoky Mountains. The creek running through the campground was wonderful. The park itself was terrible. I had to wait over 2 hours in traffic just to see any attractions. Every time I adventure out it was a nightmare. This will be my last visit to the park.

Campsite and wash houses were clean and neighbors were respectful of each other. Very friendly staff as well. Probable the best stay I've had here in 4 outings.

We were in D Loop right next to the trail. Next time we'll choose F loop if we come back to Smokemont. The visitors center is great with very helpful staff that suggested things to do on the one full day we had to explore. The road that passes Elkmont on route to 441 could use a left turn lane like they have going into the visitors center just past Smokemont. We had to wait 90 minutes to travel 2 miles to make the right hand turn onto 441 to get to Smokemont. Traffic was stuck trying to make a left onto 441 one car at a time.

Once I found my site and I set up they were logs in my fire pit. The site was clean except for the logs, I believe that the logs of all fire pits should at least be removed and stack somewhere for the customers to use if they want otherwise A fire pit full of oversized logs is not necessary.

Still talking about how impressive this campground was. Very clean with nice facilities. Well managed, location was nice, stream through the area was beautiful. Ice and Firewood available. Parking design and signage was great. Dogs constantly barking way too much was a slight detractor. No phone signal.

Great large site. Right at the trail head for Bradley fork. Great access to many trails in the Smokies.
