This campground was absolute perfection in my opinion! We chose a spot directly in front of the water and you could hear it every minute of the day. The wildlife was wonderful, one morning a group of elk came right through the campground. The paved roads made bike riding so simple. The bathrooms were always clean. We loved the location at the bottom of the park. I absolutely loved this campground!

This is a safe, family-friendly campground with the cleanest bathrooms youll find in the Smokies. The sites are set close together for the most part, so if you want privacy and solitude, this is not the ideal campground for you. (Hike into a backcountry campsite for that.) While you will hear and see some revelry into the night, groups are respectful and tend to quiet down at a reasonable hour. This is a family-oriented campground, with kids zooming around on bikes and scooters, and parents mingling. Its a well-run, safe campground, with easy hiking opportunities available via the trails at the north end of camp. My daughter and I had a great time rock hopping up the creek. Well be back, for sure. With bikes.

Lovely campground! The creek running through was so pleasant, and the flush toilets and water are nice to have. Its a quick drive out to Cherokee to get some service, and the herds of elk nearby are neat.

Excellent stay. Pleasant, helpful camp host. Flyfished the Bradley Fork and enjoyed the Smokemont Loop hike. Nice elevation gain. Quiet and peaceful stroll through the forest up to the ridge and back down. Amusing crows would sit above my tent and call until I came out and fed them in the morning. Very entertaining birds. Great stay

Great quiet campground. Very friendly staff. Too many horse droppings on the hiking trails.

The hiking was great! The rangers were very nice and informative, the campsite was clean and (relatively) quiet.

Beautiful campgrounds. Clean and peaceful (when we were there). Sites were the usual size for NPS and our 32' motorhome fit perfectly. There are several hiking trails that we didn't hike.

The campsite and bathroom was very clean. The location was gorgeous and peaceful right next to the rushing river. I recommend visiting the Ocunoluftee visitor center to walk through the Mountain Farm Museum. If you are looking for a more difficult hike, I suggest the trailhead at the Newfound Gap, which is also an amazing sight.
