A specific ground worker for the park speeding through campground around kids just to find something to complain about with us weve camped here many times and every time he harasses us. Probably wont be back here it was supposed to be a fun camping trip every time but it wasnt due to him .

Easy to get in and out, campsite was perfect for what we needed and bathroom facilities were adequate (hand soap would have been nice, but no big deal). Great experience overall! Was perfect for our scout troop arriving late Friday night ahead of a backpacking hike up Alum Cave Trail to Mt LeConte backcountry shelter on Saturday.

Great campground and always a favorite. Staff are always friendly and helpful. Only reason for 4 stars is that there is no hand soap in the restrooms. That should be mandatory!

Very nice campground. Restrooms are clean, the campsites are large, and the lady that checked me in at the office was very helpful and patient. Great campground!

Excellent camp ground! Restrooms are very clean. Camp store is great and they sell great quality firewood. Campsites well laid out and spaced apart. You can fill your water bottles at various water fountains available (this is different from the water filling tap available at the dump station).

We only got to spend one night, but certainly hope to come back in the future. We love how clean and pristine the grounds were, and although it was near full capacity everyone was so respectful in ensuring rules and procedures were followed. Keep the good work.

Excellent facility. Excellent location. Checkin was easy. Restrooms were clean. Only negative was there was a drunk camper wandering around late at night. He kept getting lost and asking for directions and bothering folks. Ended up throwing up on the side of the road. Was sad and disappointing. I guess there is one in every bunch.

Part of the campground was closed and the part that was open was designed for tents not RVs. The other section should have been open.

We enjoyed our stay at Smokemont. We especially liked seeing the elk, riding the Blue Ridge Parkway, and visiting Cades Cove. Our visit was in October and it was beautiful. Plan to visit again next fall.

Had no host at campground. Dishwasher sinks are dirty. Water pits are shut off so you need to go to dishwasher sinks to fill your bucket, but water faced is very close to the dirty sink and it was impossible to place bucket in to the dirty sink. This is firs campground in Smokies I have seen with water shut off. Why they push everyone to one place to get water? Isn't better to let people disperse and keep social distance?

This campground was gorgeous with lots of room at each campsite. We arrived after the office was closed and unfortunately a family said they had been told they could take our site, which is not true according to the rules posted on this website (not sure whether a ranger actually told them that, to be fair). We got our site back without any trouble, just felt a little bad. We spent five days here, leaving the site for most of each day. Bathrooms were clean, ranger in the front station was kind and helpful, and other guests were really considerate. The water was turned off in drinking fountains -- probably for Covid reasons? I do wish there were signs or that we'd been told this when we headed in, but again, not a huge deal. Water in bathrooms and dish washing sinks was still on, which was great. Overall, I'd definitely recommend this campsite and I'm definitely hoping to return someday! It was a really beautiful spot!

Beautifully maintained grounds. Well spaced and very shady campsites. Restroom facilities impeccable. We had just an overall wonderful experience at Smokemont Campground!
