Beautiful tree canopy kept us shaded all day and the nearby river lulled us to sleep.

Grounds are well kept and appropriately monitored. The fire rings with cooking grills were great

Great campground but wish more loops were open. Unfortunate that only A and B loops available after October 31st. Hiking in Cataloochee so needed to still drive 1 1/2 hours to get to trail head. Seems like with a increase in people camping and hiking that more campgrounds could remain open.

Well-designed campground with superb access to the Benton-McKaye trail. Parking for both campground guests and backpackers is ample...and probably some of the safest “trailhead parking” I’ve come across. Be warned, there is no cell service in the campground, but you can get it in nearby Cherokee. Also, access to the park from Maggie Valley is via a winding road...and I experienced about a 30 minute delay due to an earlier car accident that forced the road closed. Overall, the campground is superb with a very active NPS team ensuring cleanliness. I will be back!

Great place to camp in the smokies. There is a grey water wash station for pots and pans for tent campers which is nice.

We don't understand with only 2 campgrounds open during the "off season" why at least C section not be open for self contained RVs without the need for a bath house. It would increase revenue without an additional expense.
