I visit Smokey camp grounds every year because it's allergy season, hot and flat where I'm from. I mostly walk around in the trails and soak in the rivers which is great for inflammation. Lots of history to see.

Beautiful campground. Our site was pretty level. Bathrooms were spotless. Rangers were friendly and helpful. Nice hiking trails accessible directly from the campground and other trails and visitor center nearby. River running through the campground was beautiful and the sound of it soothing. We camped in a trailer for 5 nights the 3 week of April.

GorgeousSpots are close together and it was New Year's eve so a little louder than normal, but great.

Such a great campground - we will be coming back! We didn't have any service once we got into the campground, and I love that. It really helped us unplug and enjoy the surrounding nature. We hiked the Smokemont Nature Trail (~.5 mile) and the Smokemont Loop (~6 miles). Both trails were so beautiful, especially in the winter when most of the leaves are gone, leaving nothing to block your view. There are some steep points on the trails so be prepared for that. We stayed at A6, there weren't too many other campers so it was nice and quiet. The ranger who checked us in was very helpful and kind as well.

Clean site and fire pit. This is a HEAVILY used campsite, so expect to see the effects. That being said, restrooms were clean, the sound of the stream at night was more than enough to drown out any human distractions, and the park staff was friendly. I would stay again.

In our three days the ladies restroom was only cleaned once. They did an excellent job on the outside mowing and keeping up the campsites compared to Cades Cove which we do quite a bit.

Nice spot. River flowing sound was a nice experience. A little close to other sites but not bad spacing. Easy access and layout.

This is a peaceful & beautiful space, with the creek access available to all campers. There are camp sites that offer a bit more privacy and quiet than the sites close to the bathhouses. Bathhouses were clean and I never had to wait in line. I will certainly return. Wonderful for tent camping, nice staff.

We had a gorgeous, quiet campsite next to a mountain stream in this very well-maintained campground with a dishwashing station with potable water, scenic hiking trails and flush toilets. We also LOVED the horseback riding place right near the campground, which included a trip across a stream and a lot of great local historical info.

Very pleasant stay near a river which was nice to hike by and hear at night. I was away from generators, so had a nice quiet night with just the river.

We really enjoyed Smokemont. We stayed during the off season when just Smokemont and Cades Cove were available. So glad we did. We had an RV/tent site at A6 across from the water. It was very nice. Can't wait to return to try DLoop.

The online map makes spots look further away from bathrooms than they actually are. Also, we thought our spot would be more secluded based off the map.
