Beautiful spots. Restroom facilities were good.

We only stayed for one night, but it was pretty smooth. Navigating there was easy, and we found our site pretty easily. It was the most crowded campground that I had ever stayed at, though. We were only there while it was dark so we didn't really see much of the grounds. The bathrooms were clean and weren't crowded, which was nice.

The campground itself has zero reception in every single spot. We went during the winter and the water fountain was not working but the sinks in the bathroom were. Seeing how close the camp plots were I'm glad we went in the winter because it would be a disaster on a busy and hot summer trip. The park itself was closed off mostly because me and my friends went the week the terrible weather across the country kicked off in January of 2024, however I wish there was direction of something we could do or places we could actually hike. I appreciate that they let us walk a good 3 miles down the closed off highway headed to Gatlinburg but its odd it was closed off so soon for ice and snow yet none had even come about yet. The trip itself was a bust, but mother nature speaks for itself. Just in general if you're reading this DO NOT come to smokemont in the winter. Cades Cove ended up being closed early in winter, but if you ever eant to risk a winter trip having difficulties, you must go to Cades Cove as there is much surrounding it if the in park experience is hindered. I drove from Wisconsin with 7 other friends too so we wasted over $1200 on gas and food we couldn't even cook because the time spent preparing and leaving early making sure we didn't get stuck in town or get stranded for weeks away from home. Think extremely carefully when planning in the winter for a trip to smokemont. It might be better for you to wait until summer.

Great spot in the south of the park. Close to Cherokee

Our favorite place in the smokies. No complaints

This area is so well kept and clean. The ranger station has someone there almost all day and they are always so nice and helpful. Loved how close the river was to our campsite. The scenery is perfect and the space between each spot is nice.

Enjoyed my experience camping here while visiting Great Smoky Mts and surrounding areas! I will say it was pretty much a full house, and there wasn't much privacy/coverage from the other sites, but everyone was respectful of the quiet hours and each other's space. Bathroom facilities were clean, too. I'd look at booking a different campground/site with more space next time, but I'd stay here again, too.
