Signage off the highway left me lost and I had to consult maps and gps to find the campground

I'm writing a review specifically of Site 58. You should be aware that you will not be able to level any kind of RV or trailer on this site because of the incline. I would have needed about 8 or 9 inches of lift to level it and that's getting pretty absurd. We have a 20' RV with a short wheelbase too. You likely won't be reading this review until it's too late the same way I read about the inability to level from a review _after_ I was already booked....

We took our toddler on her first camping trip. We booked a site up away from Deep Creek to avoid her being near the water, but the whole campground was much bigger than I anticipated. We had a great private area, which was great, but if I were to book again, I'd opt to be closer to the hiking trails. The site was nice, ample spacing, picnic table and fire pit - plenty of room for my small family. The bathrooms we used were clean and had TP, which was great. My husband used the wash area to wash our dishes - a nice amenity to have. We are backpackers so car-camping is new to me, but we had a great time. I'm excited to explore more of GSMNP and try other sites, though I think we will definitely be back to Deep Creek at some point. The hiking trails nearby were GREAT! My toddler loved the waterfalls and playing in the safe, shallow parts of Deep Creek.

We loved our stay at Deep Creek! We live close by so it was a chance to get outdoors for a couple of days. We love being close to the river so we can fly fish, let the dogs splash around, and go tubing! We didn't go tubing this time but highly recommend it. The hiking trails are great too, of course we just wish you could bring dogs on them. It was a crowded weekend to camp and there were lots of people around during the day, but it was still quiet enough at night to enjoy being out there. We also like the fact that it is close to Bryson City in case you want to stop over there for lunch!
